Angry

Last week, it was saying how sorry he felt for JS's family to the VICTIMS of JS fgs, basically saying that he knew the layout of the dressing rooms at the BBC and he can't imagine that happening and no-one seeing and now, just, he said "But that's what television and radio was like in those days"

Errr, no Phil. Rape/molestation has ALWAYS been wrong, you daft twat. Yes, they were sexist times but there is a world of difference between sexual assaults on underage girls and sexist banter/inequality in the workplace.

And you have young daughters IIRC, Phillip. Shame on you.

Sarah Greene worked with Pip, she is married to Mike, are they all friends?

Saltire · 09/10/2012 13:41

Is it the guy who's married to Sarah greene - who have I been thinking of then? I keep picturing someone with dark hair and glasses Hmm

MrsjREwing · 09/10/2012 13:43

The guy had light hair in mailonline article.

BupcakesAndHaunting · 09/10/2012 13:45

You're thinking of Mike Read I think, Saltire.

Saltire · 09/10/2012 13:48

Ah possibly, I haven't read many of the links. Well sorry to him if I got him confused

edam · 09/10/2012 13:50

has anyone complained to This Morning about Schofield's comments? I don't watch it so wouldn't be the right person to do it.

BupcakesAndHaunting · 09/10/2012 14:02

I know that this is the Wrong Attitude, but it would be futile complaining to ITV about Pip. He's their golden boy, isn't he? :( He does TM, The Cube, Mr and fucking Mrs... they'd never reprimand him nor admit any wrongdoing on his part.

donnie · 09/10/2012 14:02

It's all rather ironic, since Philip Schofield was drafted in to replace the shamed John Leslie whose life crumbled once Ulrika had told the world what he was really like.

Will This Morning put its (dirty) money where its mouth is?

As an aside, I bet John Leslie is rubbing his hands as he observes so many chickens coming home to roost Sad.

Vanessa Feltz has just come out and said that she was groped and sexually harrassed by a top BBC guy. hat this tells us is that there was a completely accepted culture of sexual intimidation of women by men which was conducted with impunity.

Like many others I am so furious about all of this, yet not surprised really.

edam · 09/10/2012 14:07

I think people who are angry about PS SHOULD complain. Reluctance to complain is part of the problem. Don't assume there's no point - if ITV get enough complaints about PS they will have to act in some way, even if it's just telling him to shut the fuck up.

MrsjREwing · 09/10/2012 14:07

Fern said about Leslie after MW made his name public "My friend", she don't half pick em. Ulrika didn't name, thought NOTW had loads of titmis girls talk of orgies. I always wondered what CZJ saw in him.

BupcakesAndHaunting · 09/10/2012 14:10

It's also very telling that Mike Smith has said that the groping was "just mucking about". No Mike, that'll be sexual assault. Hmm

Darkesteyeswithflecksofgold · 09/10/2012 14:13

donnie thats an excellent point regarding PS and Leslie.
Doesnt say much for ITVs judge of character.
They do have form for mysogyny though.
I dont watch reality shows any more. Not since that time on BGT when a group of ladies walked on to the stage and Piers Morgan said to them "you are over 35 and overweight" and basically humiliated them.
And that was only a few years ago so this attitude towards women is very prevelant today and the celebrity culture just feeds into this.

squoosh · 09/10/2012 14:14

Bruno Brooks will probably be along soon to chip in . . .

mumtomoley · 09/10/2012 14:15

Does Phillip Schofield do his own twitter then? I thought lots of slebs just got a PR department to do it?

Sparklingbrook · 09/10/2012 14:15

And 'ooh Gary Davies'

squoosh · 09/10/2012 14:15

He does his own, he fancies himself as quite the Twitter icon.

LaVolcan · 09/10/2012 14:16

Errm, isn't that exactly why Jimmy Savile got away with it? Because, (they say), no one complained.

mumtomoley · 09/10/2012 14:21

Ah ok squoosh. Another one revealing themselves to be an idiot via twitter then.

BupcakesAndHaunting · 09/10/2012 14:23

Yes, you're right, LaVolcan. I am going to complain. Thanks for shaming me into it. Blush

And LOL at "ooh Gary Davies" Grin

BupcakesAndHaunting · 09/10/2012 14:24

He is an arrogant little prat on Twitter. Deletes any criticism for his twattery and just leaves up the witterings of the barely literate morons who defend him. Typical tosspot, can't take criticism. He believes his own hype, that one.

OP posts:
MrsjREwing · 09/10/2012 14:25

Bupcakes can you please post a link of where to complain?

Sparklingbrook · 09/10/2012 14:30

Would you complain to Ofcom? I sent my first complaint to them last week about Kay Burley.

digerd · 09/10/2012 14:34

My memories of being a young teenager are still vivid, as that was late 50s early 60s, and it was obvious that older men had a passionate interest in me. My younger sister still remembers giggling at the " touching " of girls breasts by the maths teacher. I had him too, but he never did it to me. What happened to me was the touching in the crowded underground trains at 8am, including a funny rolled up newspaper pushed between my thighs from the back. I thought it was hilarious. But the main events came from the flashers. But at 15, we girls just giggled about it all. But nobody was raped. The worst thing was a friend in our class who was touched on her breasts by her father in the bathroom. But it remained a secret by her friends . When I was 20, it stopped and I remember thinking why do these older men have such a thing for teenage girls? There have always been dirty old men around famous or not, If it is true, I can't help thinking how disgusting his cigar smelling breath must have been if he had kissed them.

mumtomoley · 09/10/2012 14:41

As well as having had enough of Phillip sodding Schofield, can I add I've had enough of my bloody colleagues spouting off that 'if they had something to complain it they should have done it while he was still alive. But they didn't. So, tough.' Angry
