I have had enough of Phillip sodding Schofield and his apologist attitude towards Jimmy Savile

Angry

Last week, it was saying how sorry he felt for JS's family to the VICTIMS of JS fgs, basically saying that he knew the layout of the dressing rooms at the BBC and he can't imagine that happening and no-one seeing and now, just, he said "But that's what television and radio was like in those days"

Errr, no Phil. Rape/molestation has ALWAYS been wrong, you daft twat. Yes, they were sexist times but there is a world of difference between sexual assaults on underage girls and sexist banter/inequality in the workplace.

And you have young daughters IIRC, Phillip. Shame on you.

Some of these posts make me really sad. Though PS is a prize arse. Hope he is reading this!

cocolepew · 08/10/2012 23:39

BupcakesAndHaunting · 08/10/2012 23:41

All this chat about how it was such a different world in the 70's 80's the thing is that there was a higher percentage of men convicted of rape than there is now. So the excuse that most people turned a blind eye is bollocks. My family wouldn't and neither would any of their neighbours. I remember their horror at the Mandy smith story. It's a poor excuse to say everyone thought nothing of it. Did anyone hear biddy Baxter interview on 5 live. Crikey one bbc producer followed her down the road and she had to nip into a church to get rid of him.

gammy · 08/10/2012 23:45

What I meant to say there must have been a weird culture going on that nothing was done

cocolepew · 08/10/2012 23:51

He was always horrible to GtG. Bastard that he is.

Mastermoon · 09/10/2012 00:58

I am the person who he told to "keep up" his next response was "you should really try to concentrate more on what's being said then you wouldn't be so spectacularly incorrect!" His spelling not mine

Darkesteyeswithflecksofgold · 09/10/2012 01:09

i am going to copy and paste a post over to here that i found on the George Osborne thread because it demonstrates the attitude we are up against and reinforces attitudes like Schofields.

This has to be one of the most disgusting comments ive ever seen on this site.
How does this post fit in to the Mumsnet policy of We Believe You.
This is mysogynistic in the extreme.

PrairieFlower - r.e.the rape exepction rule - I think this would result in a lot of false rape allegations. If a woman knows the only way she can claim benefits for her unborn child is by claiming to have been raped, she'll go for it if desperate enough.

As far as I was aware, there's already a cap in place for benefit claimants (I think you can't claim more than £25,000 a year - a vast amount of this is housing benefit-), so why deduct more?

It's all too much too soon

Darkesteyeswithflecksofgold · 09/10/2012 01:20

@Mastermoon so hes a condescending shit as well.

MinnieBar · 09/10/2012 07:24

Maybe someone could tweet him 'The gopher has more empathy and compassion than you you enormous twatface'

Or, y'know, something actually witty?

mrsminerva · 09/10/2012 08:42

Oh bollocks, I like David Bowie till I read that. The foundations of my life are crumbling. Never had any time for any of the other arseholes that are being named though.

MrsjREwing · 09/10/2012 09:01

I don't get why we as a nation look up to these people who are a bunch of fake freaks.

mrsminerva · 09/10/2012 10:27

To be fair I was a teenager when I had a crush on Bowie, in his Ziggy phase. I have come a long way since and look up to no one.

Sparklingbrook · 09/10/2012 10:32

It's starting......

MrsjREwing · 09/10/2012 10:37

Pip talking to fs g/f

Sparklingbrook · 09/10/2012 10:37

He has his serious face on big time

Sparklingbrook · 09/10/2012 10:39

Freddie Starr was not funny IMO.

QuickLookBusy · 09/10/2012 10:46

At least he urged women to come forward if they have been abused or harassed.

That's the message he should be giving out all the time.

MrsjREwing · 09/10/2012 10:48

FS has had private detectives on the lady that made the allegations and his g/f had a mental health breakdown as she met him, according to the g/f.

squoosh · 09/10/2012 10:53

Mastermoon What an arrogant and patronising prick he must be!

Love when my suspicions are confirmed to be true.

Hear ye, hear ye. Pippy Schofield is a colossal toss pot!

MinnieBar · 09/10/2012 10:53

'Yes, do come forward. You too could get the chance to be patronised and not believed by meeeeee!'

QuickLookBusy · 09/10/2012 11:00

I know Minnie Sad

UltraBOF · 09/10/2012 11:09

That 13 year old girl lost her virginity to David and Angie Bowie. So she was groomed, exploited and quite possibly drugged to take part in an adult couple's sex game. It's possible of course that Angie Bowie was also put under pressure, but whichever way you slice it, it's pretty dark and disturbing.
