I think anyone prepared to live in Dubai - a place built on money laundering and slave labour- needs their head (and morality) examining. So henceforth - any opinion they might have is henceforth void.

Cannot say I have seen Dubai mentioned on here much (if at all).

So how the hell do they come to that conclusion? Is there a Dubai slagging off thread in Classics that I have missed .

They do have a snowdome in Dubai which, IMO, is totally ridiculous.
We used to go there for glamour and glitz and shopping. The first time I drove over without DH, the border men asked me for the letter. I had no idea what 'the letter' was. It turns out, he was supposed to write me 'the letter' giving me permission to travel without him.
