ninah, I don't think that Pat would necessarily have lost weight in time. My mum didn't - she had bowel cancer with an obstruction and she didn't lose much weight, hardly noticeable at all.

I got the general impression that Derek had "known" Pat as well, doubt he was David's dad though, that would be dark!

I thought this on another thread, but then figured that would mean that Derek's son had shagged Derek's sister (and produced the lovely Bianca).

I got to page 4 then I died of boredom. Slightly interested that Pat is facing death but ....can't ....quite .....be ....bothered...............as I don't really like Eastenders and therefore not seen it for about 12 years!
I have skipped to the end to post this flippant comment so sorry if she didn't make a miraculous recovery and people are upset.....

Unfortunately it's not quite "not like real life" for me - my dad has terminal pancreatic cancer at the moment...yeah, watching Eastenders was a right barrel of laughs for me :(

It was sad but good acting, Pam St Clement was on This Morning saying she didn't want to be killed off when she first told bosses and it was strange seeing her after that episode.
