Oh my :(

That thread did turn nasty and went too far, but DBF wasn't responsible for the worst things said. Although the one thing that made me Hmm was when she posted a PM someone had sent her on a thread- Don't know if it's against the rules, but it did seem a bit unfair. Not a banning offence though, I should hope.

I love DBF she speaks so much sense. What is the effing point of a ban anyway? You can just create a new account. MNHQ are stupid fatheads.

I'm not wearing a bra to burn but I could burn my dressing gown? Although then I would be cold once the flames died down...

GetOrf · 07/11/2011 20:06

Shock

I don't know what to say.

MNHQ, please think about this. If there is one single poster on this website that has helped others, it is DBF. What is your explanation?

FFS.

bibbitybobbitybloodyaxe · 07/11/2011 20:08

Before anyone gets toooooo outraged, lots of threads are deleted for no obvious reason.

Has DBF been banned though? How do you know GetOrf?

ItsonlymeMrsDB · 07/11/2011 20:08

Can I eat the jelly tots ? Grin

wordfactory · 07/11/2011 20:08

Thing is though Belle what do you do if someone is saying the exact opposite to what they've said in the past.

I know it's supposed to be unMNerly to call people on inconsistencies, but I've never been clear as to why.
Sure let small things slide where folks are trying to remain anonymous, but big stuff that is pertient to the matter in hand?

Sue - the deleted dog-theft thread had the name and car reg of the woman the OP says stole the dog. it was potentially libellous. imh and not legal opinion.

Proudnscary · 07/11/2011 20:08

Oh ok I've realised who TLES is and now I can imagine the whole thing.

You do NOT want me to burn my bra. I could put somebody's eye out if the bosom is roaming untamed.

umm, what's a kaftan?

GetOrf · 07/11/2011 20:08

There is also a degree of inconsistency re deletion of whole threads.

Plenty of threads turn into rows without deletion - the discussion as a whole can stand, but the offensive posts individually are deleted.

As there was a lot of valuable advice on that thread, I think it was wrong for the whole thing to have been deleted. Why could not the individual posts which breached the guidelines have been deleted?
