That thread did turn nasty and went too far, but DBF wasn't responsible for the worst things said. Although the one thing that made me was when she posted a PM someone had sent her on a thread- Don't know if it's against the rules, but it did seem a bit unfair. Not a banning offence though, I should hope.

There is also a degree of inconsistency re deletion of whole threads.

Plenty of threads turn into rows without deletion - the discussion as a whole can stand, but the offensive posts individually are deleted.

As there was a lot of valuable advice on that thread, I think it was wrong for the whole thing to have been deleted. Why could not the individual posts which breached the guidelines have been deleted?
