I may not always agree with what DBF posts but I admire her for what she does, bring her back!

I think DBF has gone OTT on occasions and I understand that something has to be the last straw after multiple previous warnings.

However, I think the quoted comments are pretty flimsy in terms of being that last straw. I didn't see the thread but from what people are saying DBF seems to have been justified in what she said.

DBF does a lot of good on MN - I am not sure the same can be said for the OP of that thread and I think the "personal attack" needs to be looked at in context.

I think there are some things that noone can argue with:

1. MNHQ have a bloody hard time doing their jobs.
2. They act in good faith to try and keep MN as a safe space.
3. The system will only work if people let them do their work. Your neighborhood Bobbie does not take a straw poll on whether someone needs arresting.
4. Fairness requires that popularity should not be a factor in their decisions. A judge does not ask "how many friends do you have?"

I think we need yo recognize that Justine and Co has the right, the burden and the obligation to make these decisions. You may disagree but if any one of us were sitting in her chair I doubt we would find it easy to make a better job of it.

TLES is treated badly on here, she never is given any chance before being pounced on - quite possibly self inflicted but it does happen

DBF is very vocal and at time aggressive about animals, she doesn't give people a chance before pouncing

BUT!!! on the thread that started this, DBF wasn't being downright nasty. She was pointing out lies and frustration

She shouldn't have been banned for her contribution on that thread

Warnings on post great idea. Then not only The Warned Ones are alerted to the fact that they are walking too close to the edge, but the rest of the 'group' on the thread are too. And, hopefully, can help steer to calmer waters.

(In style terms, not content necessarily.)

Strangely, I got what you meant !

I found dbf rude in the past but had noticed a gentler tone to her posts lately. Even when she was rude she was informative and helped dogs. I wish she could come back. Please rethink, MNHQ.
