Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who enter the Gazebo and sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo, AF, HE, Cheesey and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up !

Oh I'm just drinking mine that has gone cold.

In foreign accent "hello am I speaking to the lady of the house?"

How could they think that that line would work, or I would not think it was a sales call? I hung up...

Nope, never heard of BMC before either. But welcome everyone! :)

Coffee would be lovely as we are just getting up here.

Teaandcakeplease · 08/01/2011 13:22

Well I've definitely seen it mentioned somewhere on here recently. Obviously my memory is failing me as usual again.

Tiredmumno1 · 08/01/2011 16:10

i know elmo, i still dont know what to do and its getting so close, i have to choose whether to have a c section or natural birth, it makes my head want to explode everytime i think about it.

elmofan · 08/01/2011 16:29

I ended up having two emergency c-sections but

i had high risk pregnancies . Hard decision to make tiredmum but try get as much medical advice as possible to help you decide which will be safest for you & bubba x

CheerfulYank · 08/01/2011 17:15

Oooh, lattes!

Why do you have to choose, tiredmum? (nosey emoticon)

I forgot that it was so close! I'm so excited! Have you narrowed down your boys shortlist yet?

gomummygo · 08/01/2011 18:16

Thanks Valium! :) I am on my fourth IRL as we speak. ...DS will probably sleep tonight now and I won't, lol!

Good to "see" you Tiredmum, how are you feeling? Didn't know a C could be chosen in advance, DS was an emergency C after a terrifying pregnancy so I am of no help there at all.

CheerfulYank · 08/01/2011 18:23

I just started a thread in AIBU, feel free to pop over and leave your comments! :)

Names! Names! Names!

I've commented Cheerful but it's not like it's a true AIBU, as any sane human being would be wary wouldn't they? I'd have put it in chat I reckon but then again you get more responses in AIBU. Sounds so annoying though. Especially saying in front of them how fussy they are, I bet they thrive on it and the attention. Maybe I'm wrong.

Off to find your thread cheerful

Teaandcakeplease · 08/01/2011 18:45

Tiredmum have you ever had a meeting with your midwife at all to discuss your previous labour blow by blow to help you work out why things happened as they did and the likelyhood of them happening again.

FWIW I was told my second labour couldn't possibly be like my first (Non progressive 3 days contractions, Back to back baby, Synto drip, waters being broken to try to speed it along, Sweeps, Epidural, Forceps) It was almost exactly the same second time except in the end they did a C Section. He wasn't in distress but they weren't happy with the fact I just wasn't dilating further and was stuck on the synto drip for so long with nothing happening but me wanting to push but not being fully dilated they decided to intervene. He was wedged well and truly, to remove him they ended up tearing me more by the C Section and I felt like I'd been punched repeatedly in my stomach once the pain killers wore off. They told me to just book a section next time as I obviously have some issue with my pelvis that causes my babies to be back to back.

Gosh what a long message. Is this your third baby? How were the other two labours for you? It takes longer to recover from a C Section so you'd need help with your other 2 DCs for a while but everything has its pros and cons. A healthy baby is the most important thing.

I was just hoping I wasn't being precious to be so annoyed, tea! :) AIBU is the best place for that, they'll tell you right off if you are. Wow, your second pregnancy/birth sounds rough! They had to break my water with DS, too, but things progressed pretty well after that. They're always saying things like that, aren't they? "Oh it won't happen again..." Doctors, what do they know eh? :o

Teaandcakeplease · 08/01/2011 19:05

I think being back to back and 9lbs 8oz couldn't have helped my boy to enter the world easily...

OP posts:
GinaFordsDrugMule · 08/01/2011 19:19

Hi guys! Im back! anyone for a ferrero rocher?
mine was 10lbs 8oz I was in total denial Grin

Tiredmumno1 · 08/01/2011 19:32

Ok i shall try explaining a bit, yes it is my 3rd, i was induced with ds1 at about 11pm, my waters went in the morning and was born at lunchtime, i did tear a bit and had to have stitches which was terribly painful, with ds2 he was breech, they did try turning him but that was so painful, he did turn by himself, and my waters went, when i got to the hosp they examined me and he had turned back to breech position so had to have emergency c section, thats why i have to choose because if i do it naturally there is a risk the scar could rupture, i will talk to the midwife, its so hard to figure out though.

we hear the name chanting lol but we are still stuck Grin

grrr its so frustrating

CheerfulYank · 08/01/2011 19:32

Thanks gina, delicious!

Oooh, ten lbs! Mine was 8lbs 9 oz and that was enough! :)

CheerfulYank · 08/01/2011 19:33

Oh wow tiredmum that is a lot to deal with! Good luck! (and on deciding on a name as well :))

FabbyChic · 08/01/2011 19:33

Is this the outcasts thread? can I come in please?

CheerfulYank · 08/01/2011 19:35
