Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who enter the Gazebo and sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo, AF, HE, Cheesey and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up !

Elmo I am hugely proud of your DS! I'm sure that's not the reaction some would have, but fwiw I really am so proud of him for standing up for himself like that. Wickedly Angry for him being whipped across the face with a skipping rope though.

Oh dear @ new thread, Tea...I will wait a bit and see if someone else volunteers before I mess it up give it a go! :) Hope things went well for you at the induction, I have not yet figured out how to occupy DS for things like the hour you're talking about! Things like that tend to drive me to the brink of insanity, not that it's a long trip! Grin

Hiya Cheesy, long time no see, hope you are well. Today we have a sweet concoction I would describe as a blueberry/raspberry pie with a crumbly topping kind of like you put on apple crisp.

Ah Valium yes, tis a friendly bench. We've all been traumatized by AIBU experiences and originally congregated for a safe place, if I recall correctly! :)

CheerfulYank · 11/01/2011 18:10

I am proud of him too! I'm no fan of fighting but sometimes enough is enough, isn't it? LOL at him being embarrassed at me wanting to hug him. :)

Hi cheesy! Hmm...I've been craving carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, shall I bring some to the Bench?

gomummygo · 11/01/2011 18:24

Definitely Cheerful, as long as it is ok if I stick my finger in the frosting and eat it. Grin

elmofan · 11/01/2011 18:26

I am (secretly) chuffed that ds kicked the little so & so back but i don't want to encourage ds to get into fights .... aghhhh
So we have told him to never start a fight but to finish the fight if anyone hurts him .
Blush that sounds terrible doesn't it .
He said "your cool" cheerful Grin

Elmo you have stand up for yourself. I didn't and it carried on from the same girl right up until 5th year (year 11) when she left the senior school it was hell. He cannot be a doormat as otherwise he'll become a target for all sorts of stuff. He may need to do it again at some point if J tries it on again but I reckon he'll soon get the message. Or if J is a wimp he'll try and set his friends on him. I'd still book him in for martial arts classes anyway just in case. I am very proud of him too.
