Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who enter the Gazebo and sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo, AF, HE, Cheesey and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up !

I got that too. Total junk mail!

gomummygo · 07/01/2011 13:27

Thanks for the link Elmo! :) I am in the loop now. The power of MN is impressive. I do see their point, though I don't watch Eastenders. Years ago, something that had just happened to me IRL happened on Corrie and I was embarrassed at how much just watching it affected me.

That junk mail is strange! As is most of it though, I suppose!

Valium I'm sure you'll be glad you took the plunge! :)

elmofan · 07/01/2011 14:56

CheerfulYank · 08/01/2011 07:10

Cheeky darling! Hello! How have you been?

I'm so glad you're back tiredmum, and glad to hear the bump is doing well. I cannot wait for him/her to be born!

Welcome ginaford! We're nice here on the Bench. Sit down and take a load off. :o

Mmmmm....cinnamon buns!

DozyDoll · 08/01/2011 07:36

Did somebody say cinnamon buns? Budge up ginaford. I've brought some freshly brewed (?) coffee. Don't care for it much myself but thought it only right I make the effort...first impressions and all that!

CheerfulYank · 08/01/2011 07:41

Mmm....coffee. Of course it's not quite two in the morning here so if I ever want to sleep I shouldn't have some. :) Good thing it's virtual.

Welcome to the bench, Dozydoll!

DozyDoll · 08/01/2011 07:47

Thanks CheerfulYank I'm feeling quite at home here already. This is the cheeriest, friendliest bench I've ever had the pleasure to park myself on in my life.

DozyDoll · 08/01/2011 07:53

What's BMC? And tiredmum when's your baby due (if you don't mind me asking)?

CheerfulYank · 08/01/2011 08:08

I don't know what BMC is either....British Mum Centre, or something? Confused I'm American so I don't understand a lot of what's said sometimes! :o

Where do you live, Dozy?

Teaandcakeplease · 08/01/2011 08:14

I thought it was another website a bit like mumsnet, I thought GoMummy had been on it in the past

Hello Dozy and Gina.

Cheerful can't believe you're still up!

OP posts:
CheerfulYank · 08/01/2011 08:17

I know...just had a five-hour car ride to my parents and I napped a bit en route, so now I can't get to sleep! (I confess I'm not really trying, I'm having too much fun using my mom's lovely new laptop :o) What time is it where you are, tea?

CheerfulYank · 08/01/2011 08:22

Have just PM'd you tea :)

DozyDoll · 08/01/2011 08:23

I'm near Liverpool lying in bed. It's almost 8:30am so will have to get up soon. Hope you have lovely time at your parents' cheerful

Teaandcakeplease · 08/01/2011 09:03

Well it's now 9am on Saturday and my little ones are watching Disney's Robin Hood from the 1970's whilst I mumsnet do some chores.

CheerfulYank · 08/01/2011 09:13

dozydoll BMC is another parenting website - similar to here but much much smaller.

Anyone fancy a coffee? Just putting the kettle on [grins]
