Zoflora UC is shit, my dsis is on it and has had massive problems, especially when her employers fuck up the returns to HMRC which is easy done.

Dion there are guides to follow for how much you have to start with. I think £100 is a decent pot to start working with. After about 4 offers, which would probably take about a week or so to complete, possibly 10 days depending if your profits go to the bookies or your exchanges you should be able to take your original £100 out.

Look on either profit accumulator or odds monkey and they have free videos for the first offer.

Remember. You are the gambler on one side, the bookie on the other. Unless you understand that bit it doesn't make sense.

You place a bet with the bookies, then take a bet as the bookie which cancels out the bookies bet. This is the qualifying bet and releases the free bet.

You do the same with the free bet. Which is then free money!.

I spoke too soon about DS1. He’s just kicked off majorly in a way he hasn’t since he was about 14.
It’s quite scary. Poor DS2 has gone to bed to escape. He doesn’t need this 😫

longestlurkerever · 31/01/2019 20:35

Hugs NC4, Zoflora, Dionysa for the shit life is dealing you all. And Frouby for your shit day! My day was all right though am coming down with cold - people were being nice to me because it was my last day so my ego was massaged. Only saw the kids briefly really and one at a time, they were being quite sweet. No snow here yet but is freezing. Am supposed to be having my spa day tomorrow so hoping school and forest school is on. AF here and will probably have an early night.

Frouby · 31/01/2019 20:38

Heres a screenshot of a calculation you would use for a free bet.

Lots of bookies have a bet £5 get £20 free at the moment.

The blue is what you would place at the bookies.

The pink is what you use at the exchanges which is where you become the bookie.

The Qualifying bet on this would have been a £5 bet, so you would have done the same calculation for the £5 bet, taken a small qualifying loss usually of a few pence, so your profit would be £14 plus.

It takes me 10-15 minutes tops to do a sign up like this. So if I do 4 an hour I have earnt £60.

Sign up offers run out, but there are reload offers and then other offers to do.

NC4, very big hugs. DD is in a strop about her appointment. Possibly not helped by the fact that I am not dry Blush

Thank you, Frouby. I think I am just about getting to grips with that bit of it, but am a bit dense when it comes to native intelligence (unless it involves reading books and writing crap about them).

Dionysa · 31/01/2019 20:41

Frouby we crossed posts. Thank you. Very helpful. I can't begin to describe my financial problems ATM. I am, sensibly, not going to start with this when I am not stone cold sober, but will tomorrow.

Meanwhile, no heating here, but I can't afford to call a plumber. FML. DD did not respond well to my suggestion of a hot water bottle and a jumper in bed.

Longest, I did laugh about the ego-massaging thing. Grin

NC4Now · 31/01/2019 20:44

Well at least this one was short lived. He’s just come down in tears, apologised. He’s not sleeping and he just flipped. Blind rage. I want wine but I can’t go to the shop with a face as blotchy as this.

Dion is DDs appt tomorrow?

I will never understand matched betting. Longest I’m jealous of your spa day. I’m quite jealous of forest school too. It sounds like fun. Do they get to light fires?

Frouby · 31/01/2019 20:46

Definetly don't do it pissed, it's easy to make a mistake and then lose money.

Watch the videos tomorrow. About 4 times. Then have a few gins and go back to it next Tuesday. I say next Tuesday because there will be Tuesday night football on, nothing will be postponed because of the weather and the odds on football up to about an hour before kickoff are usually pretty stable so easier for someone new to make sure they are getting the odds they have found.

Do your qualifying bet Tues and then when that's settled do your free bet, probably Wednesday morning for Wednesday afternoon horse racing.

Oh Dion no heating? It’s so cold. Have you any kind of plug in radiator or anything?
It’s that cold here I’ve got through almost a full bag of wood as well as having the heating on low.

Dionysa · 31/01/2019 20:53

Oh, you are all so lovely.

NC4 I grew up in an ancient house with no heating, so am as hardy at anything. We used to sleep in sleeping bags and with dogs on the bed if we were chilly. Poor DC haven't had this experience, though, so are Central Heating children. I bought DD a fan heater a while ago, so she can use that.

I lit a fire (my normal solution), but nobody has chopped wood, so it has not lasted very long.

Frouby, I am resisting the temptation to try it now. A bit worried, as I have never watched a football match in my entire life. Grin

Frouby · 31/01/2019 21:11

You don't need to watch them Dion, just wait for the free money to come in. It doesn't matter whether it wins, loses or draws because you have covered both outcomes. Ie man utd win, man utd don't win (lose or draw).

I didn't have a fucking clue what I was doing when I first started, no idea how the maths worked or why I was doing the bets I did. Best thing to do is write down the maths, then you will see what's happening.

Its bloody cold out there. Just been and done the guinea pigs and pigeons heatpads. Brrrr. They were glad to have them back in and warmed up!

If you have ever seen a pigeon warm its arse it's very funny Grin.

Sort of NC 4, though dd2 is only 3 so more watches the fire and eats the marshmallows. Daily fail link: www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/ap/article-2698339/amp/Forest-nursery-school-London-lets-kids-explore.html

It is achingly middle class as you can see.

Glad ds1 is calmer and ds2 has had a bit of reassurance from school.

longestlurkerever · 31/01/2019 21:41

Oh Dion I missed your heating issue. Is it definitely broken or could the condenser pipe just have frozen? If it's the latter you can fix it yourself with a hot water bottle or hairdryer

longestlurkerever · 31/01/2019 21:43

That was supposed to be a link to a video about thawing the pipe.

NC4Now · 31/01/2019 22:03

Dion would you like me to sent my boys round to chop some wood in the living room. You’re very welcome to them. They are most excellent woodcutters.

I know a forest school teacher, but it’s not achingly middle class here. She does it at normal school for kids who don’t really get out of town.
I still fancy it. I grew up in the sticks and spent my childhood lighting fires and climbing trees.

NC4Now · 31/01/2019 22:28

Oh Frouby my favourite pigeon story. The boys dad is notorious for getting on a bit of a rant at times.
We were young, walking down Bold Street in Liverpool, looking dapper, he had on his snazzy new trainers...
“I hate pigeons, bloody sky rats.”
A pigeon on the pavement in front of us, pecking at a discarded kebab, looked up, walked up to him, turned its back on him and did a shit on his trainer, before walking off nonchalantly.
It still kills me 20 years later. 🤣🤣

Dionysa · 31/01/2019 22:58

NC4Now DD offered to chop wood. But when she realised it meant going outside and bringing the wood inside, she recanted. It is one fo the rare moments when I wish DS were here, as he doesn't see that there is any difference between inside and outside. Instead, I have been putting up a mirror for DD. This involved a drill and much (internalised) bad language on my part. But as she said afterwards: "girls can do anything". Including putting up mirrors that will probably fall down at 1 AM. Grin

Frouby, I have a horrible feeling you mentioned the word 'Maths'. Grin

Longest, the sodding heating just doesn't work. It is an old house, and I was hoping not to spend any more money which I haven't got. I tried bleeding the bleeding radiators, to no avail. I also improved the boiler pressure, which made no difference. I then looked online, and it seems that the radiators are filled with 'sludge'. This can be rectified at great expense. FML. It will be hot water bottles all round. I suspect DD will be wanting to board again.

NC4Now · 31/01/2019 23:05

Those are the times I love being a single mum. DS1 once claimed to be ‘the man of the house’. Ha! He hasn’t said it again.
Fair play to him though, he’s pretty handy.
I live in an old house too, a Victorian terrace. The sooner he gets those plumbing qualifications the better.

Flossie44 · 01/02/2019 00:12

Not dry. Dh stranded in his car for the last 11 hours and still stuck 50 miles away from home now moving!! This is after me warming him of the weather warning and sending him screenshots of the forecast. For him to reply ‘pah..it’ll be fine!’ So he left work too late (he works 2 hours away) and drove right slap into a major snow dump that has cut the county off from the rest of the UK!!

NC4Now · 01/02/2019 00:22

Oh bloody hell Flossie.
After the drama of earlier this evening, both my boys have emerged and we’re watching Tenable in perfect domestic harmony.
It’s midnight. 🤦‍♀️

waterandlemonjuice · 01/02/2019 05:53

NC4, your poor Ds 😰 being at school sounds so shit (from what dd tells me too)

Frouby, pmsl at your dh and the water

Zoflora, that sounds v annoying, I hope it gets sorted

Dionysa, good that she has an appointment 💐 but img at no heating, poor you

NC4 lol at the pigeon story

waterandlemonjuice · 01/02/2019 06:01

So I did 29 days AF, which I'm pleased with. Just as well as dd was ill so I spent from 2am - 7am in A&E with her on Wednesday, suspected appendicitis but turned out not to be.

Then my contract finished yesterday, my boss gave a fab speech and I had some great presents, it was so nice.

dh and I went out last night, drank cocktails and wine, hence being awake now despite no work today, woke up needing water. It was a great night 🙂

My plan is wine tonight and tomorrow then AF Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I have an interview and an awards dinner on Thursday so will drink then. I am going to carry on using the dry January app to record my drinking.

CottonSock · 01/02/2019 07:44

Dion, do check your condensate pips if you can. If boiler won't fire at all its often cause. But maybe you said they are on, but only a bit, in which case I don't know.

Flossie, I hope dh got home ok. Mine stayed at work yesterday so I hope he gets back today. Our school shut so I'm home with both kids and still feel grotty..I had to shout once from bed already not to fight. At least I was dry last night so not hungover aswell.

NC4Now · 01/02/2019 08:00

Can you get a quote for a plumber. I always think they are going to be whoppingly expensive but the last time ours came out it was £70, and they give 28 days to pay.
