Please critique my house photos for Rightmove?!

These are the photos of my home, ready to put on Rightmove. I am extremely nervous as I've never put up a house for sale before! Please could you give me some constructive feedback?

Hall makes me wonder where you keep coats and shoes, is there a porch?

Snug/tv room looks small but cosy, could imagine living there.

Other reception room is confusing. Looks quite large but dining table crammed against wall and random sofa?

Kitchens fine altho not keen on the rug.

It all looks clean and tidy and well presented.

However, if I were being picky, I’d move the flowers of the cooker.

What order are the photos in? I wouldn’t have the hallway first. Also, where is the front of the house (or have you omitted that for privacy?)

Remove the window screen and the coffee table from the living room I think.

Can you move the sofa out of the room with the dining table and move the dining table more central?

What is the situation with the attic room? Is it just a mattress on the floor?

Why is there a vase of flowers on the hob? House looks clean, tidy and neutral.

It’s very neat and tidy.

I would see what it looks like without the kitchen rug as an easy change.

is there anything colourful you can add? Some houseplants or fake plants? A picture or two? Nothing overpowering.

Outside looks great. Master bed is nice, other bed looks a good size but a bit bland. Can the attic room be given a purpose - like set up as an office or something?

All good I think, I wonder if the garden photo would be slightly better if you retook it without the cyclamen immediately in front of the camera but that's being super critical. I agree with the above comment re the hallway. Your home is lovely, good luck.

I will pull the table out a bit, that's a good idea! I usually keep coats on hooks on the backs of the doors but I removed them for photos!

Just seen the extra pictures. Rooms should have a ‘purpose’ and not sure attic one does.

Flowers off the cooker , table out of lounge, attic looks creepy!

My mum said move the flowers too! I thought it looked stylish, oh dear.

Agree that the second reception room is confusing. Is it a dining room or a second lounge? And if the latter, what is it's different purpose?
Attic room is undefined. Looks like an 'unofficial' attic where it can't be classed as a bedroom due to fire regulations. If that's the case make it look like a good study or rec room.

It’s all very beige. I’d like to see a little bit of colour.

Personally I’d get rid of the sofa in the dining room and move the table and chairs more central to the room (and rug) so it gives it an obvious “use”, it will also make the room appear larger. But that’s just my opinion. I think I’d also put some generic art / pictures up the hallway to break up the large areas of wallpaper etc and to make it look more homely. But that’s just me being picky really.

Interesting thoughts, thank you! I did wonder about moving the coffee table, and also the sofa in the back room, but i have nowhere to put them! Hoping people can see past my furniture arrangements ...😬

Loft room is just fancy storage. I used it as a hobby room but cleared it out for photos. It is only a two bedroom house. I used the mattress for sitting on.

People generally see past NOTHING. Sadly. 😉

Honestly the pictures aren't at all off putting, it looks well cared for and spacious for what it is. I mainly look at the floor plan.

What did you decide about the front door in the end OP?

I like the house, moving flowers hither and thither isnt going to make masses of difference

I think its lovely. Re. Wooden decking, it always looks much nicer when it has been jet washed, scrubbed and oil stained.

I have a wooden decking balcony and its a PITA but it looks good as new when I clean and oil it. I use a light oak stain as not really fan of the terracotta stains.

As it stands it looks like a bit of a cold damp patio/garden.

I think it looks nice. A few pops of colour in each room might make it look nicer still - see if you can borrow some bright cushions to place on the bed / sofa, bright towel for the bathroom…

Also I agree with giving each room a purpose - could you stage the attic room as a yoga / meditation space? Borrow a yoga mat, add some cushions, folded blankets, a few plants and a low table with something like some driftwood or an incense burner on it.
