What everyday hassle do you wish someone would invent a solution for?

Leaving partners and children themselves out of it 😄 — what’s one thing that repeatedly wastes your time, costs you money or drives you mad?

Something you dealt with this week would be ideal. What would you want a product, app or device to actually do for you?

Have you bought anything to solve it already? What was still missing?

I’m exploring potential product ideas, so this is market research. There’s nothing being sold here.

I hate this too and use my hairdryer to dry my body!

Put clothes in the wardrobe with hangers the wrong way round. At the end of the season if they haven’t been taken off to wear they will still be back to front. Then get rid.

Saw an SF film story once (Surrogates) where everyone stayed in and had an avatar go out and do the boring bits like work, shopping. socialising and so on. People just stayed in alone.

Modern life can feel like an endless loop of exhausting, repetitive tasks. Having a double to handle the draining errands, awkward social obligations, or tedious work meetings while you just relax and recharge sounds incredibly appealing. While we don't have body doubles many of us outsource the shopping by having deliveries, employ cleaners and gardeners to do the tiring jobs we don't want to do, or use various scheduling apps.

I wish someone would invent an avatar for me.

A machine I can pop my feet into and it cleans them, massages them, and if I choose it paints my nails perfectly too. I’d love this at home!

Definitely a teleporter. No more driving places.

A robot to come and check my car is fine so that I don’t have to pay extortionate garage fees to someone I don’t really trust. The robot would tell me exactly what needed doing, do it and not charge me more than the parts cost.
A robot to tell others people’s children not to throw litter on my garden. It would shout pick that up and put it in your own bin! Child from no 1 Acacia Avenue!

Oh and someone else to go to work and do my job whilst I still got all the benefits.

And stop it reverting back to what I can only describe as a very badly put together birds nest the minute I step outside the door.

God yes, such an utterly boring waste (no pun intended) of time. I mean I know we have to, but god I find it so annoying! 😄 I suppose something does already exist for this - a colostomy bag - but obviously I’d not want to be in a situation health wise where this happened, so not sure I can think of anything that would save me from having to do it myself 🤔

Something that holds my shopping bag open at the self checkout. I put it down, straighten the sides, make sure the bottom is flat - and as soon as the first item goes in the whole thing collapses. Infuriating!
