What everyday hassle do you wish someone would invent a solution for?

Leaving partners and children themselves out of it 😄 — what’s one thing that repeatedly wastes your time, costs you money or drives you mad?

Something you dealt with this week would be ideal. What would you want a product, app or device to actually do for you?

Have you bought anything to solve it already? What was still missing?

I’m exploring potential product ideas, so this is market research. There’s nothing being sold here.

A rain sensitive clothes line that covers the clothes at the first spot of rain and uncovers them when it stops.

A button that compresses my car to the size of a key ring car. No more parking worries and no more wondering where I left it (although potentially I could lose my key ring car), just press the button and go.

A good teleport system between train stations so you just get into the carriage on one side, plug in your destination and get out the other side. Like a very fast lift. Extend also to airports in 2028.

When I was young I used to want a walkman that I could carry all my music on, and not just two tapes. We have that now, so why not the car thing?

When my kids were small I longed for some kind of portal that would just apply sunscreen as they passed through.
So something really good that would male applying sun screen reliably on children. I am irish, and I have horrible memories of being burned, and was quite anxious about protecting my children (lived in brighton) so as well as being an absolute pain, I would have liked the reassurance that it was done properly.

Of course, now they are 16 plus, they let themselves burn sometimes. Still makes me twitchy on hot days!

This! But also to apply suncream to myself - to save the time it takes and the stickiness. Or even better just a tablet you could take to protect your skin?! No more yellow stains on clothes and carting bottles around... (I am also fair of skin with fair children...)

Something that will empty the dishwasher and put everything away and something that will empty the washing machine and hang stuff on airers.

I used to want sunscreen to come out of the shower, in the water.

But there's always someone who will be complaining about their rights not to use it and spoil things for everyone <lighthearted/joke>.

I could live in a nanny state. Just so long as I'm the nanny.

i do not mind washing or drying but i hate putting it away! very often it just gets piled on the ottoman in my bedroom. the dogs blankets have been in the clean washing basket since i do not know when but he has plenty of blankets, so, i guess when the pile is going down i will empty the basket!

A cordless hairdryer, so I could rough dry my hair to 80% whilst making my coffee, tidying up, etc.
