Cleaning the oven.
Cleaning the car.

I get professional cleaners to do these for me because just no....life is too short.

Launder my own sheets.

Once a week I send them out and they come back clean and pressed. Worth it to me!

Whynottryagain · 25/07/2026 20:48

Windows
Oven (although very rarely)
Tree maintenance (also rarely)
Gutter clearance

DH put up coving in half the house. It looked great but took ages. We had professionals in to do one room because the ceiling also needed plastering and I was amazed by their speed! I'd probably outsource it in future!

I like cleaning my car but I wish I could outsource vacuuming!

A robot vacuum is your friend!

Lol
it doesn’t take long to clean an oven if you wipe it down after every use and then do a proper clean on it once a week!

The trouble is, some of us just CBA to do that all the time. A colleague of mine told me that her sister just couldn’t face the state of her oven any more, so she just bought a new one. 😂
I had to admire her style!

redboxerclub · 25/07/2026 20:56

Paint a fence. Tedious mind numbing arm killing.
decorating in general.

Will fix things and clean drains, mow lawns, trim hedges wash patios, make flat pack
no problem

clearing the oven and car will do under duress

hugasaurus · 25/07/2026 20:58

I solve this by never washing the car.

Yes to getting oven cleaned, we get it done every year and it’s worth every penny. They do hob, microwave and extractor fan too.

DustyMaiden · 25/07/2026 21:01

Have a protective sheet in bottom of oven put that and shelves and glass from the door in the dishwasher. Not much left to clean.

Still not as pristine as our once a year professional clean! It’s like new after that.

I’ve outsourced vacuuming! We have a little robot that gets up before we wake and trundles round downstairs, mopping and hoovering. Then I bring it upstairs and it does the same. Trundles back to its station and cleans itself. Best money we ever spent.

Now I am intrigued how does the robot clean itself?

Astra53 · 25/07/2026 21:14

We have a cleaner every two weeks
We have a robot floor mopper and vacuum for downstairs. We have just bought a vacuum only one for upstairs.
We get the car cleaned inside and out.

It’s got a base station, it goes back there and mine washes as well, so it washes it own mop heads as well!

Brilliant it is!

Sirzy · 25/07/2026 21:16

I strangely enjoy cleaning the oven.

I pay for the bins to be cleaned monthly which is worth every penny!

Whosthetabbynow · 25/07/2026 21:17

I’ll have a go at cleaning the oven but it’s going to need extra help soon. I won’t wash the car; we take it to get it washed. I won’t iron anything. We take anything that needs pressing to the dry cleaners. I won’t go in the loft. Ds2 does that if needed.

DontSayItsOver · 25/07/2026 21:17

You’re supposed to clean your oven? Doesn’t the heat do that for you

caringcarer · 25/07/2026 21:19

Clean the oven
Take the bins out
Cut the grass
Clean windows
Clean the car
Do recycling this is DC job
I don't really like cleaning at all.

caringcarer · 25/07/2026 21:19

Ironing, what is that? Don't people tumble and shake?

Boreded · 25/07/2026 21:21

Hoover…the robot will hoover (daily) and mop (twice weekly), so why would I?

Cut the hedge…£25 to pay a man, or my husband spends 2 hours on it, flare up of the hayfever, and scratches all over his arms…pay a man it is!

Yes, my DH does any tiling we need doing. Then one time he sprained his knee and couldn't do it so I got someone in and they did it all in 1 day whereas DH would have taken a week and made a song and dance about it. Now I don't even mention it to him I just get this quick professional tiler in.

Portmore · 25/07/2026 21:25

Jet wash & sanitize the wheelie bins is the only one I 'outsource' . Worth every penny.

Batshit. No one has time for this.

It has a little station with clean and dirty water reservoirs. You have to refill the clean reservoir/empty the dirty one every so often but it’s a lot easier than mopping and vacuuming!

TheTortiePuffinNeedsHerBreakfast · 25/07/2026 21:48

I would never attempt to paint the kitchen or stairways. Way too much wall space that's too high up. My painting limit is one easy -shaped room!

Bloody hell, I can’t be arsed with that. I have never cleaned my oven or my car, both jobs are outsourced. Along with loads of other boring stuff I don’t like doing! It puts money back into the economy.

Nousernameideaaga · 25/07/2026 21:57

Ironing. Don’t even own an iron.

Do have an aga though so in winter I can chuck stuff on Agatha and it gets vaguely less creased
