I mean, it’s more likely that driving in a bus lane led to his fine for driving in a bus lane. He doesn’t deny he did it.
And as for ‘fixed inc9me as pensioners’ - he may well be. But it doesn’t immediately look like it’s a low fixed income based on his clothes and car…

The very first comment on the FB post that shared that suggested that he take the sticker off, and then drive the same way (many times to be sure) to test his theory.

Somehow I bet he'd have an excuse for not being willing to eat his own bullshit.

However you will notice that narrative is now in the public consciousness of Liverpool.

I think the narrative was supposed to be

"Look how we poor patriots are being oppressed by the might of the blob",

however all I read is

"Reform supporters not only thick as pigshit, but too stupid to realise it. Sell your bridges here."

This is not getting at any one on a pension at all.

But pensioner on a fixed income is bit of a common complaint which is a bit silly because most working people are also on fixed incomes. I can't go to my boss and ask him to raise my salary to fund my new hobby of driving in bus lanes. Yes, I guess there's an idea if you are working you could ask for extra hours etc but most workplaces aren't really like that anymore, it feels like an outdated idea (if it ever existed at all). Also, specially state pensions are a fixed income guaranteed to rise with inflation. Unlike salaried wages.

Also, he isn't on a low income because if he was he would have said he was. "Fixed income" is used when someone knows they can't pull the sympathy card based on being on a low income.

No one forced him to go to the papers. Although, he clearly isn't that bright, I can well imagine by the same token no one stopped him either.

His RAF pension rises by the same percentage as armed services salaries every year. His “fixed” income is part index linked and part triple locked. Many working people would swap in a heartbeat.

And yet we’re not allowed to call Reform voters thick 🙄
