I was in the Westminster/St James Park area when it was all happening in Downing Street - just coincidence of a previously arranged lunch date. Pub we met in had a group of foreign news/media people camped out over a number of tables, on laptops or pacing up and down outside jabbering on their phones. Aussies I think 😁

Long term posters, or ploppers that can read, would be well aware that the harshest and most excoriating criticism of Labour and Starmer was in these threads about the asinine appointment of Pervy Mandelson.

Any old idiot can point at a cat and say "That's not a dog !" to deafening applause from their unfashionable fellow travellers. But it's a bit more constructive to point at a cat and say "Maybe that's not the best solution for my dairy needs" and then work to a solution that is.

Labour seem to have an issue with party leaders who just don't/can't communicate well (since the Blair days anyway..)
It's all very well to say that they are knobbled by the right wing press, (and that's true) but Corbyn had an open goal every week at PMQs, as did Starmer.
They did not convince when it mattered.
Going by ABs performance earlier today it's same old, same old 🤷‍♀️

I think Burnham might be good at PMQs. He has a sense of humour and I am not sure Badenoch's methods will work so well. Let's see.

He’s much more agile on his feet than Starmer. I suspect PMQs might be entertaining.
