Now I'm regretting my choice! Obsidian's Rest sounds fabulous, like there's an ancient myth behind it....sadly and boringly will be named after some hedgerow flowers.

Back from the dentist. Was brilliant today. No wait and their TV wasn't working anyway... I usually struggle with all the waiting room noise 😁

I'm sat in the garden with a cuppa. Bliss.

All happy here today. DS even had a good chat with the dentist about his DnD campaign as she's a fellow enthusiast 😁

My fig tree smells amazing and the bees are happy buzzing about. I am resting as much as I can today before any busy busy. I intend to start packing for the holiday... slowly!

I had good news about my blue badge being renewed but it hasn't arrived yet. Keeping my fingers crossed it might come before we go. It runs out while we're away 😬

Pidge update.... still sat on the egg on the ground. Poor thing....also hearing lots of tweety noises from the hedge now. I think wildlife is encouraging me to not worry about the jungle ☺️

I have just done some..... cleaning. God my standards are low. I found a birthday candle on the table from last year 🫣

It's a living history museum - probably you could get a grant!

Also, you might be one candle short this year, and be pleased you've got a spare.

I did come back from holiday and spot a happy birthday banner still in the lounge that was put up beginning of June. We’d obviously just all stopped noticing it as I thought ‘ Why’s that still there?!’
Come to think of it it’s now sitting in the utility room waiting to go in the cupboard…so could well still be there by the next family birthday… which isn’t til December 😂… not sure why I didn’t actually just put it in the cupboard 🙄

Well we've still got a Father's Day card on the mantelpiece! If I move it it will show up the dust. Maybe it will come down in August when DH puts up his bithday cards 😊

Our friend was very chatty, he and DH have gone out so I'm resting quietly!

Bleurgh, it's got very warm again, 27C apparently. Having another of many lie-downs today, including a huge nap after lunch. Going to make myself stay here until 5pm then do another round of carrying things downstairs.
