Oh gosh I've just seen a clip of Andy's cabinet meeting and he says very sweetly and softly that the no 1 priority is for everyone to find out how they can help us because even a tiny bit will go a long way.
Let's hope that 153 million aid package to Pakistan is the first to be massively trimmed down ! And any other "aid" going to nuclear powers !

I just watched the first cabinet meeting. I’m kind of surprised at that. I can’t even dislike him it’s just not what I expected, kind of uncertain and so many uhs. Good luck I guess!

I still think the focus is wrong. Is it the Labour thing and what the state can provide rather than a first cabinet meeting saying we focus on jobs, each decision should ask the question does this get people working? I guess Labour don’t value that.

I’m basking in the moment of no Starmer, Reeves or Phillipson. I will never forgive them re the VAT and the damage they have caused. Their removal from their positions will not change that but at least I will stop feeling sick at the sight of them.

As the minister in charge of the Cabinet Office, she inherited responsibility for the Public Sector Fraud Authority (PSFA), the Government’s centre of expertise on scams involving public money.

However, within hours of her taking office, that brief was handed to Pat McFadden, the Work and Pensions Secretary, instead. (DT)

Re Burnham….i want him to do well because I want things to improve. But the Labour lot just do not get it. Socialism doesn’t work. That’s why they get in, fuck things up royally, and don’t get back in again until we’ve exhausted all other options.

I mean, what for? I think there are still some countries who are stupid enough to be signed up for this, but that can't last long surely.
