What's everyone having for dinner in this heatwave?

If you're experiencing the heatwave like we are in Berkshire, UK- then what have you all got planned for dinner?!

I need some inspiration as currently I have no desire to stand over a hot oven, yet feel like I am slowly marinating myself😂

My favourite, I can't wait to be able to eat it again.

We had Chicken Shawarma with flatbread (bought) and homemade houmous and lemon sauce with salad.
Delicious, I wanted to eat outside but there was football on.

Roasted beetroot,squash and peppers with halloumi,yoghurt and mint dressing and used crispy Chinese leaves as wraps. Very messy but tasty.

Jacket potato and tuna salad

Ice cream and a mix of fresh berries with a few frozen berries stirred through.

That's it!

Greek chicken stew with orzo pasta. DH made it.

We're having roasted red peppers, Greek salad and focaccia tomorrow (me).

DS has added "proper sized fake Magnums" to my shopping list. Apparently mini ones aren't acceptable

Thursday is leftovers.

Friday we're having holoumi, watermelon and mint salad, cold sausages for DS who doesn't like cooked cheese, and pitta bread.

Chicken Salad - followed by a Magnum ice cream!

Rosted chicken breast, brown rice, yorkshire pudding and gravy.

Paella tonight, possibly pasta salad tomorrow.
Pizza, chips, salad thursday.
Some use of hob / airfryer, minimal.oven if I can help it.

Tonight its pasta with creamed kale and chinese spiced pork ribs with the obligatory salad. Last night was chicken curry with rice and sunday it was roast chicken and salad wraps with chips.

Chicken piri piri, new potatoes and broccoli, and tomorrow will be what’s left of the frittata I made last night with salad

M&S barbecue chicken flatties, jersey royals and a huge salad.

Had potato wedges, prawns, halloumi and asparagus on the bbq

Air fryer baked potatoes with cheese and coleslaw on them

DH had chicken and I had salmon - I cooked two pieces of each for us last night, to have tonight and tomorrow. Salad and I cooked a large batch of giant coucous this morning - mixed some of it with onions, peppers, cucumber and mayo. Rest will be served tomorrow with a different mix.

These all sound ELITE!! Thank you for the ideas ladies.

Duck and pancakes. And gin.

DH is currently making pasta salad 😀

Had pan fried sea bass with garlic butter and pine nuts, plus steamed veg. And pinot grigio. Need a shower now though - and then I am not moving away from the fan until I go to bed. Where there's another fan.

Lemon and herb chicken with salad and coleslaw. Maybe a Magnum for dessert.

We had a chicken kebab recipe from Taming twins website with salad/rice/tzatziki. Was really good!

I just covered the table with M&S bits:
smoked salmon
smoked mackerel
corn on the cobs
coleslaw
houmous
baby potatoes and pigs in blankets drizzled in honey
potato croquettes
fritatta
tomatoes

… and let everyone go to town on whatever they fancied.
