What's everyone having for dinner in this heatwave?

If you're experiencing the heatwave like we are in Berkshire, UK- then what have you all got planned for dinner?!

I need some inspiration as currently I have no desire to stand over a hot oven, yet feel like I am slowly marinating myself😂

We have a batch of pottage that I cooked up yesterday.

Chicken and avocado salad with jersey royals. Going to dice the chicken up and chuck it in the air fryer.
hoping there’s some Caesar salad dressing in the fridge.

Greek salad with cannellini beans added and capers instead of olives as I’ve run out

Spaghetti and home made pesto
chicken thighs for meat eaters

Picnicy salady things. I’ve made potato salad to make it more of a meal as we eat our main meal in the evening. Boiled the potatoes first thing this morning before the heat built too much.

Chilli con carne with extra chilli and cheese on top plus rice

Just finished washing up, was grilled sea bream, new pots and broccoli. Was very tasty.

Just as I was about to turn on the oven to cook sausages to go with salad and potato salad I thought fuck this and ordered KFC delivery. Followed by twister ice lollies. The kids are very happy at this unexpected mid week treat

DH is cooking lasagne and chips. Proper ones, from peeled potatoes done in a deep fat fryer!

I think it's a bit hot for that, but he's cooking and i'm sitting in the shade so he can cook what he likes, frankly. I'll happily eat it.

Burgers in the air fryer with buns, salad and coleslaw. Very low effort but worked well!

I made a quiche and a big salad - too hot for anything else!

Meal plan out the window despite the fact I thought I was planning meals for got weather! I’ve only got to feed myself tonight so water melon and crisps is current front runner!

Salad, quiche and new potatoes.
The leftover salad will go with lasagne tommorow.
Thursday we probably having steak and chip

Meatballs and chips and peas as opposed to meatballs, pasta and sauce!

I've had a bag of crisps and some fizzy worms. Will have toast later on.
