What's everyone having for dinner in this heatwave?

If you're experiencing the heatwave like we are in Berkshire, UK- then what have you all got planned for dinner?!

I need some inspiration as currently I have no desire to stand over a hot oven, yet feel like I am slowly marinating myself😂

A chicken thigh, and that was forced down. It’s a rare day that I’m not hungry, but it’s to bloomin’ hot 🥵

Yes, we cross posted. I can hardly eat.

Sadly hot weather always seems to make me hungry (most things do TBH!).😆

I don't know how people are eating hot dinners though, I'm sweaty enough without trying to cook.
I've stuffed my face with a giant plate of crudites with cream cheese and a vegan ham roll. Plus a bowl of tinned peaches.

Yes grazing is easier I think. Since posting I have just consumed much of a pineapple.

I was cutting it for the dc for pudding and kept sneaking pieces as it was soooo juicy and sweet.

Chicken Wine Rose...? Come again?!

Vielle Ferne wine is also known as Chicken Wine due to the illustration on the front. I has a small bottle of the Rose.

I wish the hot weather killed my appetite. Nothing does.

I had tuna and white bean salad with lettuce, olives, tomatoes, spring onions, cucumber. Soughdough bread, a rose wine spritzer, then blackcurrant sorbet afterwards.

But I have also had a lot of other things today. I was hungry all day long.

I picked up the new Waitrose Food magazine last night, and quite coincidentally, it's one of the suggested foods this month, so they sell then there too, which is handy as I have one down the road. They served them with juicy sausages, which does look amazing.

Have you been to Japan? There they have egg mayo, rather than scrambled egg. You can get Japanese mayo in Waitrose or Asian supermarkets as well. It does taste different. I try not to eat UPFs, but do allow myself a few bits and bobs, so this will go on the allowed list

I haven’t myself - but my husband has been twice with bands - hexstruggles a bit at breakfast there in hotels though as he hates eggs - he resorted to a Wendy’s!! Yet he loves Japanese food in general ( as do I - although I’m not keen on ramens)
