Guess my age

No this isn't going to be one of those threads where I post a photograph and ask you to say how old you think I look.

I just thought for a bit of fun for anyone who like me has too much time on their hands, I would post a few facts about myself and see if you can guess my age.

I will post odd random facts over the next day, then tell you my age tomorrow.

This is a new user name, in case I have mentioned my age in previous post.

Fact 1) My mother used to wear dresses made of crimplene.

Fact 2) My father used to ride a bike and wore cycle clips to stop his trousets from getting caught in the cycle chain.

Mine were born in1904 DF and 1908 DM . I’m 80, they were 42 and 38. I’m also an only child and I had an only child cousin almost the same age, with parents older than mine. We were unusual having no siblings. I thought you were quite a bit younger than me due to your getting the vote at 18 and Jackie being your fav mag. Lots of your posts really resonate, thanks for the memories.

Loved the thread, I guessed 71 so not far off. I’m almost 71, Dad born 1915, Mum 1920. They married in 1942, had a daughter in 1946 who died aged 6 months, then a miscarriage, then me in 1955, only child. Not so unusual, I had several friends in the same situation
