What's the most attractive thing a man has done unintentionally?

Can be your DH/DP/random man. I'm single, so my instances will be of a random man.

When I was at work recently, a man who works there, who is really chatty with me, asked me how my birthday was and idk why but it was such a turn on. Literally no-one else remembered, and I don't expect them to as I don't make a fuss of it, so the fact he remembered it was just really attractive. The bar is in hell guys, pray for me.

Another time was a few months ago; we had a contractor come in to work to fix the lift. We let on and asked how each other is etc, I mentioned being annoyed as I hadn't been able to take a break yet after 6 hours work, so he said go for your break and if anyone says anything he will sort them out. Already a turn on. I go for my break, come back and he is arguing with my manager that I should have had a break by now because of working so long etc. I think I may keep breaking the lift in hopes that he comes back.

Making this thread as I've been on a lot of threads today that ended up being really negative and want a shred of positivity on my Friday night - so, what is the most unintentionally attractive thing that a man has done that you found attractive?

@MassiveOvaryactionomg he sounds like a keeper ❤️❤️

CreamFirstJamSecond · 05/06/2026 22:19

DH, before we were an item, calmly extracted a drunk coworker out of the pub into a taxi (which he paid for) and also managed to get hold of her housemate to make sure she actually made it back. He did it it all very low key most of the staff didn’t even noticed, no drama just ensuring her safety (and saving her from a HR meeting)

And I thought wow that is a chap I could marry - so i did.

You are so lucky, this is exactly the kind of guy I hope to marry. Someone selfless and with everybody's best interests at heart.

oooh this is such a good thread! For me it’s when my DH takes his (gold, thin wire framed, sexy professor style) glasses off, sweeps his hand over his eyes and the puts them on again. Or when he gives our child a piggyback. Or says things like ‘your car needs a service, I’ve booked it in and will work from home that day so I’ll drive you to work, drop it off and pick it up again, it’s all sorted’, or is speaking authoritatively on a work call. shivers

If I’m being a little perv then I once saw a man at a beach pull his t shirt off with one hand by grabbing it behind the neck and pulling in one fluid motion. Still think about that a lot 😂

I have the biggest weakness for older men (48-60 yes I am that specific) with twinkly blue eyes. Bloody kryptonite to me! My DH and I are the same age but he does have the twinkly blue eyes - yes I find his dad attractive!! 🙈

Cleaned dog poo off my trainers (I would have thrown them away!) lots of examples really - he found a smooth stone and filed it into a heart shape and left it on my side table for me. oh and brought a lost tortoise home that he found in the road and then took it to the local police as they’re protected here in Spain 🐢

Carried me up Steep Hill in Lincoln on the way home from a night out because my shoes were hurting my feet (been married 23 years)

Years ago at work some man made a sexist comment, and this other man called him out. Very cool, I still think about it (shows how infrequently it happens!)

I honestly have never seen this happen in real life and that is so depressing. If only all men were like him

Our cat sometimes brings mice into the house. These mice are alive and generally very cute. Although I am 1 million times as big as the mice and 100% feminist, i cannot possibly tackle a tiny mouse. That’s a job for DH. I find it rather hot that he just swings into action, finds the mouse, handles the mouse really gently (sometimes talks to the mouse) and finds somewhere safe to put the mouse.

I love that, how wholesome and romantic. I can only dream of experiencing this, it gives me hope that good men may well still exist

Still a bit woozy as I forgot to write that we've been married for 48 years and it's still the most attractive thing he has ever done. And there is a LONG list of things he has done over the years. He is not a good gift-giver but he is there, steady, honest and loving whenever I have needed him.

Hotterthebetter · 05/06/2026 22:32

He always walked on the traffic side of the pavement and automatically held my hand crossing the road. He still does 36 years later.

I love this thread @worldshottestmom!
And completely agree with @Vvvvvvvvv- I find all those things hot in men too. I’m in my 50s and recently chatted in a cafe to a very sexy 70 year old man about how gorgeous our dogs were.
Older, animal-loving men just do it for me 😊

I once eyed up a tight spot near my city centre flat and decided it was worth a go after driving round for ages. I had a clapped out Suzuki Ignis which was tiny but the spot was very small.

I managed it in one go which surprised even me (was an advanced police driver at the time). I got out the car chuffed with myself when a random man walking past - very tall, broad, in his 30s, piped up in a broad Southern US drawl "ma'am, that was some damn fine driving".

I'm afraid I got all flustered, said a very British thank you and legged it rather than get his number!

Edited

Hahaha aww this is so sweet!! A lovely little meet cute

Some years ago now. I was getting a sandwich in M+S at lunchtime. Senior colleague was a few people in front of me and had not seen me. The queue was for the automated tills. Suddenly the elderly woman in front of him said oh my goodness I do not know how to use these things. I will have to join the other (very long) queue. No he says come with me and he patiently did her shopping for her and paid the bill! Despite her offers to pay. Made me quite weak at the knees how patient and kind he could be.

Standing on back of truck to get something out of the flat bed. Second was while chatting on facetime and he was sat in truck he put one hand on the headrest so his arm was up.

Also went for a walk, just chatting and I have a tattoo on my neck. As I was talking he reached out and firmly but very gently moved my head to look at it (we were talking about it). I swear to god my brain actually rebooted. I just stopped mid sentence 🤣

Have no idea what happened with any of them but there you go!

Wow the last one would of got me haha that is so hot!! My whole body would have rebooted lmao

  1. On our first meeting as students he found me lugging the world's heaviest industrial vacuum cleaner upstairs and came to my rescue just as it was about to topple. Then he introduced himself.
  1. Shortly after we met I found out he wrote stories for his little nephew about a hedgehog who ran a bakery. 😍
  1. Fairly early in our relationship we went to Paris for a weekend and my period started unexpectedly. He (being a fluent French speaker, which I was not) was completely unfazed and happy to go into a pharmacy and find the sanitary products I needed.

We were happily married for 22 years before he died from cancer.

That is so unbelievably heartbreaking, he sounded like the perfect guy to be honest. Im really sorry for your loss, he sounded so attractive in such a gentleman kind of way. The best kind if you ask me

Handled a tricky horse like it was a puppy with “where do you want this?” as it was half rearing/snorting/acting up before he flung some straw bales about as if they were tissue paper

These threads always very quickly devolve into men cleaning up cat sick and helping elderly relatives on here for some reason.
Or parallel parking/ reversing the car into a tricky spot. Every single time.

Not cleaning up sick, but def the reversing quickly and easily into a spot, glancing over the shoulder plus a good arm is 😁 good calves are nice too

We'll call him a random. I know him through work. He's married and I thought he kind of looked down on me a bit, found me a bit trivial and unintelligent. One day I asked him for a charitable donation and he gave me a super generous donation and told me he thinks I'm a hero because I'm always helping other people, and said, always ask me if you need a donation for anything, no explanation needed, if you support it, I know it's worth supporting.

I was blown away.

I can't believe this actually happens to people lol how amazing of him though. Goes to show you never really know who values you
