What's the most attractive thing a man has done unintentionally?

Can be your DH/DP/random man. I'm single, so my instances will be of a random man.

When I was at work recently, a man who works there, who is really chatty with me, asked me how my birthday was and idk why but it was such a turn on. Literally no-one else remembered, and I don't expect them to as I don't make a fuss of it, so the fact he remembered it was just really attractive. The bar is in hell guys, pray for me.

Another time was a few months ago; we had a contractor come in to work to fix the lift. We let on and asked how each other is etc, I mentioned being annoyed as I hadn't been able to take a break yet after 6 hours work, so he said go for your break and if anyone says anything he will sort them out. Already a turn on. I go for my break, come back and he is arguing with my manager that I should have had a break by now because of working so long etc. I think I may keep breaking the lift in hopes that he comes back.

Making this thread as I've been on a lot of threads today that ended up being really negative and want a shred of positivity on my Friday night - so, what is the most unintentionally attractive thing that a man has done that you found attractive?

@worldshottestmom omg this is so embarrassing 🙈 it’s the divergent trilogy, where Four is with Beatrice. 🥵

He stopped to say hello to a cat in the street.

Oh DH did that! It was very attractive.

I’m a physician, and ability to do procedures smoothly is very hot. Even though I can do them myself, seeing somebody bang an art line in quickly is very attractive - I think it is competence. Funnily I don’t feel the same about surgery, or other practical things like timing or plumbing.

Stopped his car and put on the hazards to usher a hedgehog across the road (quiet road, so didn't cause danger to anyone else)

OMG my heart. 😢

I have a few stories but they mostly involve men being nice to animals - or children or women... A man who is nice to animals is a keeper.

Years ago at work some man made a sexist comment, and this other man called him out. Very cool, I still think about it (shows how infrequently it happens!)

I'd been dating this guy just a few short months, when I got the most horrendous sick bug. He didn't leave my side, kept taking the sick bucket away, cleaning it and coming back.

We've been together 18 years now.

HE sounds like a keeper!

Yes I married him! But this was before we dated - by about a week after Tartufoville 🤣

Ahhh the happy ending we all wanted!!! Hahaha all it takes is some good cake! My male friend at the shop i used to work in once proudly presented me with a mermaid birthday cake that had been reduced to 60p and said he thought I would like it. I wasn't turned on at the time but I reckon a 60p reduced cake would do wonders for me now

Men who stop and chat to random cats are promising. If the cats respond well, then they (the men, that is) are definitely worth considering.

Namechangefordaughterevasion · 05/06/2026 21:55

A male friend of ours was on his way to join a group of us for dinner and noticed an old man standing stock still in the middle of the road. He helped him to the pavement and It transpired that the man had dementia, had left his care home unsupervised and was completely lost and confused. Many people would have dismissed him as a nutter and walked away but my friend was amazing. He talked to the old man (who couldn't remember his address) and helped him find his wallet which had a card with the care home address on it. He rang the care home and checked it was the right person. He then called an uber on his own account and escorted the old man back to the care home.

Our mate eventually arrived an hour late for our dinner and explained why. I've known him (and his wife ) for nearly 40 years and have never found him remotely attractive but that level of care and concern for a stranger blew me away. If my husband and his wife die anytime soon I'm making a move!

The man who works in the work canteen used to be a chef in a fancy restaurant but gave up due to the shift work. He showed me the photos of the food he made.

I hope you told him how amazing all the food looked!! That is so hot. Idk why this reminded me of when I was working in a shop and this really lovely worker from the counters walked up behind me and said "You've got the best legs in the game, you should get those insured". I did not realise he genuinely said this as he was walking out of the store because he had just quit lmfao it just made it even hotter. Bad boy vibes

These threads always very quickly devolve into men cleaning up cat sick and helping elderly relatives on here for some reason.
Or parallel parking/ reversing the car into a tricky spot. Every single time.

I once eyed up a tight spot near my city centre flat and decided it was worth a go after driving round for ages. I had a clapped out Suzuki Ignis which was tiny but the spot was very small.

I managed it in one go which surprised even me (was an advanced police driver at the time). I got out the car chuffed with myself when a random man walking past - very tall, broad, in his 30s, piped up in a broad Southern US drawl "ma'am, that was some damn fine driving".

I'm afraid I got all flustered, said a very British thank you and legged it rather than get his number!

DopeyS · 05/06/2026 21:56

Standing on back of truck to get something out of the flat bed. Second was while chatting on facetime and he was sat in truck he put one hand on the headrest so his arm was up.

Also went for a walk, just chatting and I have a tattoo on my neck. As I was talking he reached out and firmly but very gently moved my head to look at it (we were talking about it). I swear to god my brain actually rebooted. I just stopped mid sentence 🤣

Have no idea what happened with any of them but there you go!

  1. On our first meeting as students he found me lugging the world's heaviest industrial vacuum cleaner upstairs and came to my rescue just as it was about to topple. Then he introduced himself.
  1. Shortly after we met I found out he wrote stories for his little nephew about a hedgehog who ran a bakery. 😍
  1. Fairly early in our relationship we went to Paris for a weekend and my period started unexpectedly. He (being a fluent French speaker, which I was not) was completely unfazed and happy to go into a pharmacy and find the sanitary products I needed.

We were happily married for 22 years before he died from cancer.

NameChangeMay2026 · 05/06/2026 22:04

Nothing. I've never had that experience.

LiterallyGlowing · 05/06/2026 22:04

We'll call him a random. I know him through work. He's married and I thought he kind of looked down on me a bit, found me a bit trivial and unintelligent. One day I asked him for a charitable donation and he gave me a super generous donation and told me he thinks I'm a hero because I'm always helping other people, and said, always ask me if you need a donation for anything, no explanation needed, if you support it, I know it's worth supporting.

I was blown away.

Those are all really sweet! I'm glad you had someone lovely, but so sorry he died.

A hedgehog who ran a bakery! That's so cute, I just can't.

MassiveOvaryaction · 05/06/2026 22:06

There have been many many things over the years but the most recent which probably sounds ridiculous is he bought me a mobility scooter.
I've got a long term health condition that shows no sign of fucking off abating and was bemoaning not being able to get out and about for walks with him as we've been doing for decades. So he bought me the scooter. And he still treats me like I'm a vibrant attractive woman even though I need stuff like that to help me with life 😍

Mountainsandhuts · 05/06/2026 22:06

I was dating this guy and we were on a hiking trip. I realised I'd dropped my sunhat and he immediately downed his backpack and ran off back to get it. It was almost 2 back down the mountain and he retrieved it and brought it back without a second thought.

Still have the sunhat, still have the man. Been married 3 years.

Twattergy · 05/06/2026 22:07

A boy I liked at uni once gently tucked my hair behind my ear when I was talking to him. Swoon.

A powerful and charismatic older boss (early 50s to my late 20s), he a director of a national institution... I had to go into his office to describe a work issue. And he just leant back in his chair, looked at me and said 'You advise me...' rather than telling me what he thought. So hot.

I definitely like men who greet animals and who have plenty of time for elderly people.

There was a small boy in DD2's swimming class who was scared of the water and his dad would get in the pool with him and help him with the class (this was very much allowed). He was fairly handsome, but the fact that he was also a great and patient dad made him gorgeous.

I later met his partner. She was stunning, but had picked a good one!

AnnoyedAsAllHeck · 05/06/2026 22:10

I just got out of the hospital after two weeks in there with E-coli and sepsis.

I was so weak one day and my DH brought me yogurt to try and get me to eat something.

He fed me each and every bite and when finished, rubbed my legs and read me a chapter from "Aunt Erma's Cope Book" (or a title close to that). He has a deep voice and when he laughs, you laugh. After 48 years, I can honestly say, this was the most attractive and sexiest thing any man has ever done for me.

worldshottestmom · 05/06/2026 22:10

KatMansfield6 · 05/06/2026 21:49

When someone tries to hum a tune to identify it and DH says "like this?" and goes and plays it beautifully on the piano with some improvisational flourishes. He's really not a show off and it's casual and when I said a while ago it was attractive he was so pleased. Oh and if we're at a wedding, or church or singing happy birthday etc he'll harmonize just really joyfully and effortlessly.

Edited

That is really beautiful to be honest, I would love to find someone so creative and talented, you are so lucky!

I love that, how wholesome and romantic. I can only dream of experiencing this, it gives me hope that good men may well still exist

DP gets down on the floor and plays with the kitten, he brushes her and feeds her treats and she idolises him. Safe to say I’m not his favourite girl anymore, and I’m ok with that. It’s the cutest thing ever and just makes me love him more
