What's the most attractive thing a man has done unintentionally?

Can be your DH/DP/random man. I'm single, so my instances will be of a random man.

When I was at work recently, a man who works there, who is really chatty with me, asked me how my birthday was and idk why but it was such a turn on. Literally no-one else remembered, and I don't expect them to as I don't make a fuss of it, so the fact he remembered it was just really attractive. The bar is in hell guys, pray for me.

Another time was a few months ago; we had a contractor come in to work to fix the lift. We let on and asked how each other is etc, I mentioned being annoyed as I hadn't been able to take a break yet after 6 hours work, so he said go for your break and if anyone says anything he will sort them out. Already a turn on. I go for my break, come back and he is arguing with my manager that I should have had a break by now because of working so long etc. I think I may keep breaking the lift in hopes that he comes back.

Making this thread as I've been on a lot of threads today that ended up being really negative and want a shred of positivity on my Friday night - so, what is the most unintentionally attractive thing that a man has done that you found attractive?

That smile that meets the eyes and lights up their face whenever they see you!

Also, men (or, indeed, any women) who treat me as an equal, and don't bat an eyelid at my job or that I apparently have abnormal strength for a small woman... so the sort of person that doesn't underestimate me, because I am fabulous.

I'm not going to go as far as to say 'hot' because I'm very happily married. But a guy at an event was being really positive with all the kids on the stall he was running. He never criticised them even when they were rubbish but gave positive feedback every time to help them get better. Quite the skill. He has a step son who was pretty bad at the stall skill but he kept encouraging him, including why taking a break would help him get better. Not as a weakness but as a positive. Honestly it's the best male role model I've seen for men recently. And he was a proper beefy shaved head man. It really made me smile.

I've just thought of one with my DH. He grew up rurally but we met in a town. The first time he took me out in his car and he slowed properly down for a horse. His level of love and care for animals is very attractive.

A man playing football with his son, my daughter ran over to join in. And he just let her join in and encouraged his son to take turns, he was deliberately not saving her goals so she could score, she was delighted, I was enthralled 😆😍

I went to a baby/toddler rhyme time at our local library recently. The sight of huge, tattooed men sitting on the floor enthusiastically singing and miming along to nursery rhymes with their tiny daughters (and sons) was heartwarming. In our area of London I'm more used to seeing men who look like that picking fights, smoking weed or weeing in the gutter.

Honestly there is nothing I love more than big manly men being kind, gentle and friendly. Bonus if they are that way with (their) children. The perfect combo

Ladies I have a suggestion.

Can we have a calendar of these hot men doing hot things?

If there are too many then we could have

Hot men doing hot things with cats
Hot men doing hot driving

You get the idea.

Been married 34 years and so have a massive list…here are a few:

When we visited a friend in hospital who was in pain, hours after he should have had his meds and had asked for them several times, DH got it sorted in a few mins by being quietly assertive. Asked politely and then stayed by the nurses station saying ‘I’m just going to wait here until it’s done’. I thought ‘I’m in really good hands here if anything similar were to happen to me.’

When I was very ill with flu, I couldn’t drink enough fluids. I couldn’t even force down water. DH kept going to the shops to find anything that would help me to drink. He’d bring back 3 or 4 different things, I’d try them and say ‘No sorry, I just can’t drink any more’ and he’d go out again and get different things until he found something that did the trick.

Every time he’s behind me on an escalator he puts his arms round me from behind and kisses me on top of the head!

Everyone who works for him says what a fantastic boss he is. He looks for opportunities to help to develop them
in their careers even if it means losing a good person from his team. He gets messages from people who worked for him years ago asking for career advice and thanking him for what they learned from him.

He once phoned my boss to book a day off work for me in secret so he could take me away overnight as a surprise for our anniversary. He packed a bag for me and surprised me when we got to the hotel. My boss told me after that the whole office (all women) had swooned after she told them about the call!

I could go on but I will stop there…!

@CountryGirlInTheCity
I am jealous 😊

thenewaveragebear1983 · 10/07/2026 19:43

@sashh we had some guys here today doing some garden installation and I saw, just though a glimpse in the curtains, one of them just taking a moment to stroke our (very needy, diva) ragdoll cat. I just thought, what a guy. 😻 you could tell he was telling her she was so pretty as well

TheNinkyNonkyIsATardis · 10/07/2026 21:36

Two different work examples.

First guy called with a random question about my niche subject. He'd been told no by a few colleagues, and I rattled off five or six reasons off the top.of my head why the answer was yes. He was suitably charmingly impressed with my spontaneous knowledge of his subject. My ego was in the driver's seat for that one.

Though tbf I'm quite a fan of the other guy and his puppy-dog enthusiasm for his niche subject - we go off on flights of fancy. But once he just happened to notice that I didn't speak in a meeting and called me up to ask about it. I was bored and pissed off, and it was just nice to be noticed.

Who said he’s perfect? Of course he’s not. But he is a very good husband.

And no he’s not a cheat, serial or otherwise.

As it happens I know plenty of good men who love their wives very much and are respected in the community. I’m not sure why you think this is too good to be true.

It was a joke! Jeez.
My DH is also a lovely lovely man....
