What's the most attractive thing a man has done unintentionally?

worldshottestmom · 05/06/2026 20:35

Can be your DH/DP/random man. I'm single, so my instances will be of a random man.

When I was at work recently, a man who works there, who is really chatty with me, asked me how my birthday was and idk why but it was such a turn on. Literally no-one else remembered, and I don't expect them to as I don't make a fuss of it, so the fact he remembered it was just really attractive. The bar is in hell guys, pray for me.

Another time was a few months ago; we had a contractor come in to work to fix the lift. We let on and asked how each other is etc, I mentioned being annoyed as I hadn't been able to take a break yet after 6 hours work, so he said go for your break and if anyone says anything he will sort them out. Already a turn on. I go for my break, come back and he is arguing with my manager that I should have had a break by now because of working so long etc. I think I may keep breaking the lift in hopes that he comes back.

Making this thread as I've been on a lot of threads today that ended up being really negative and want a shred of positivity on my Friday night - so, what is the most unintentionally attractive thing that a man has done that you found attractive?

I was on the treadmill this morning and the man on the next machine and I fell into exactly the same rhythm. We didn’t acknowledge the in - sync- ness until I got off and was spraying down the machine then we locked eyes and grinned at eachother. Or rather I grinned then caught him grinning at me in the mirror as he’d gone past .
I’m happily married and didn’t fancy him per se but it was a spark of ‘that was fun!’

This is such a cute little meet cute! I hope you end up a gym power couple tbh I'm rooting for you!

The best ive got from the gym is a very hot man chuckling at me for failing to squat and lingering about waiting to catch the barbell in case I dropped it (which i didnt!), all while I was being filmed by some pro gym girls camera on a tripod 🙃

A man walked into a pub and started bothering me and my friend asking for money. The pub went silent with lots of men looking over. One man got up from the bar and calmly but firmly intervened telling the guy to leave us alone. The man turned to me and said "oh is this your boyfriend is it coming over to get me out" before I could respond the man said "yeah I am, now leave". The guy left and the man went back, finished his drink and left before I could even say thank you. It was very brave and kind of him, especially not making a fuss or escalating the situation

I'd walked home in the very deep snow from a works night out. I was hungover, young, and feeling like death warmed up. I just wanted a hot bath, and the boiler broke.
My husband, somehow, fixed it with a copper wire from an old hairdryer. He is trained in electrics but my god... He still gets brownie points for that nearly 15 years on

This is the kind of man I so desperately want!!! Acts of service do wonders for me, how deeply attractive. The cheeky little "might have", as well, what a turn on. Lucky lucky!

When I met him, he was balding, 21 stone and completely not my type, but he was funny and he wore really good shoes. We became friends for nearly five years before we got off with each other at a mutual friend’s wedding.

It was like a flash of understanding between us that we should be together forever and he has never ever let me down. Together 10 years now, married for three. I wouldn’t be without him.

All the additional stuff about the laundry and household tasks and especially his silent acts of service didn’t become apparent to me for ages, because I was really caught up in other things. But once I started noticing, I could see it’s how he shows he loves me. I feel very fortunate.

When my husband rides his motorbike and he’s fully kitted out in his leathers and helmet - absolute perfection

Don't be shy, show us a pic 😍

Aww honestly I always feel extremely attracted to men with a heart of gold, regardless of how they look. My first ever boyfriend was very, very, VERY obese, but had the cutest face ever and was such a gentleman. Really funny and sweet. I love hearing about beautiful romances like yours, it gives me hope for the future! Enjoy every minute ❤️

Edit: Argh, meant to quote the poster whose man went out and got them period products when she came on unexpectedly.

Same situation for me, opposite result! I had been seeing uni ex for a year or two, and I was staying with him on his parents' farm. They lived quite a few miles from anywhere. I came on my period and had no products. He refused to drive me the three miles to the nearest shop to get some, because he was expecting someone to come to the farmhouse about something, sometime that day. His parents mustn't have been around, I can't remember. All I remember is being stuck what felt like a million miles from the nearest shop, coming on, and him refusing to take me to get any pads. And it's not like he tried to see if his mum or sister had any, either. I had to make do with loo paper, and it's just lucky I wasn't on too heavily or I guess I would have just had to go ahead and bleed everywhere.

It was the Nineties so there were no mobile phones or maps that you could see on your device. These days I would probably just walk there, but back then, I and no idea where I was going and no way of calling anyone if I came across a weirdo in the middle of nowhere.

It would have taken 5-10 minutes to drive there, I could have hopped out, got something, and we could have been back in 15-30 minutes. He could have left a note asking the person to wait, if they had turned up in that short window. But he just refused, and I went most of the day having a period and no sanitary pads.

Edited

Omg wtf what an absolute piece of shit. So glad you did not marry him. How inconsiderate of a twat do you have to be to not do a 30 min roundtrip drive to get your gf some pads ffs. Biggest turn off ever. If that was me would of free bled everywhere just to make a point

Oh my goodness that is so kind and sweet of him how lovely! I was so hoping someone would bring up forearms, I go mad for a good forearm. When they're meaty and dense, throw a few veins in there oooooof

Yes, they're dense & veiny. He's a plumbing & heating engineer, so his forearms are very strong- aahh. He can fix anything too, including bikes & cars.

After that first meeting with the kindness of the flask, we arranged a proper date for the next Friday. I had a work's night out straight from work, & wasn't rearranging that. He suggested we go out for a drink later (rather than the dinner he'd originally preferred) & I message when I was almost free. I duly did & had a rapid reply to say he'd sent a taxi to collect me & bring me to his flat. My colleague said 'He's a keeper'! Upon arrival he had a bottle of champagne chilling & he'd bought snacks I had mentioned I liked. Definite keeper!

Ohhh my husband does so many. Jumps out of bed naked and will run downstairs if I think I’ve heard a weird noise, no hesitation. Always opens car doors, pushes chair in etc. Will let our daughter dress him up and happily sit with a tiara on his head and a tutu. Can fix ANYTHING. Was outside chopping wood up the other day and breaking up posts. Helped an old confused lady who was sat down our road that everyone else ignored. Neighbours were being arseholes about parking and he went straight round there and had a word. Is possibly the best car parker I have ever seen, fits our car into spots that amaze me. Will go and do small diy jobs for the elderly down our road. I could keep going!

Is your husband in the room with us right now

Seriously though, he cannot be real, he sounds actually perfect. A real man's man with a big soft centre. If he looks like Jason Mamoa hes a perfect 10 😍

I don’t think that it’s the case that we are so impressed by they actions that we find them attractive, it’s just the little things they do sometimes sparks a feeling of security, happiness, care or whatever. I also find some men’s underarms (not armpits, but the lower arm) attractive. That doesn’t mean that my bar is so low that all it takes is for a man to have a lower arm. It’s a combination of who the person is, and what little things that person does that accentuates their attractiveness.

Yeah was thinking about this comment the thread is about things men do that they dont realise we find attractive, not 'what is the bear minimum for you to wed a man'. There's always one!

I'm mentally illustrating his forearms and it's turning me on

Where do you all find these men??? Do they actually exist? Honestly every single man that has shown interest in me has been a bum, it's depressing. Yet I hold out false hope, for a veiny forearmed engineer of my own. One day!

As a student I got blind drunk, brought a guy home with me and promptly fell from the top of the stairs of my student house to the bottom, smashing my head open against the radiator at the bottom. He called me an ambulance and stayed with me while I puked my head off and got my head stitched up. Not only had I fancied the arse off him for about 6 months I remember a thinking fk me this is so hot to be looked after liked this it kinda spurred me on to act even more useless 🤣And yes I married him.

Hahahahaha if this isnt me! I have a feeling this is the only way I'm destined to find someone. Thats actually so sweet though, not knowing you very well yet and still being so caring and thoughtful. Im glad you married him!

Jesus Christ

"Doesn't mow down baby animals, swoon"

"Didn't leave me to die of a head injury: keeper or WHAT"

The bar is buried 6 feet under if this thread is anything to go by!

Edited

Dont think it gets much lower than remembering a birthday

Though the thread is about things men do that they dont realise is attractive, not what the bar is for dating/marriage

What is it about men's arm muscles? When I first met OH he picked up one of my weights to show me a bicep exercise. Just seeing him sat in the chair and casually lift the weight with his muscles showing. Turned on then and still get turned on when he does manual jobs for me, especially when he puts on the black tradesmen trousers with the pockets for screwdrivers 😆 🤣 but he has got a nice arse so that helps!

I'm not ashamed to admit I would do anything for a good bicep and forearm. Throw on the workman clothes he can keep me as a slave

I was doing freestyle lane swimming in the pool, using hand paddles to improve my arms and aerobic stuff.
Paused for breath at the end of the lane and nice younger man in the next lane was intrigued and asked to see my paddles.
He gently laid his hand right on top of my hand that was resting on the side, to compare hand sizes - he said.
It was electrifying, I can still feel it now…

You'll find him: I'll manifest it (even though I don't believe in that shmuck, I'll make an exception). I met DP when I was NOT looking for anyone or anything, & neither was he. Life hits you when you least expect it, OP.💪🤞

Rolling a white or light blue long-sleeved shirt up to the elbow. Very sexy. Short sleeves just don't have the same effect.

An Italian man who bowed to me as I got off the escalator in M&S. I thought he was going to kiss my hand.

A woman of fine, niche taste! I cannot resist a rolled up sleeve. For those saying the bar is embarrassingly low, this is it. A rolled up sleeve turns me on

That is so sweet! A lot of foreign men are so endearing in a different way, very gentlemanly I find

One in a totally non romantic way was when a friend asked me about some research I was working on. I explained my findings so far and he laughed, I asked why, and he said words to the effect of how beautiful my eyes became when I spoke about something I was passionate about. It was and still is a very very platonic friendship but I still think it’s the kindest thing anyone has ever said to me and I think it would have been attractive coming from someone else!

Hottest was when I messaged my husband to moan about a man in a van yelling out the window at me when I was walking with my newborn baby and the dog. I’m not in the mood for catcalling any day of the year, but let alone in the thick of PPD. He agrees it was shit and I thought that was the end of it. Found out a few weeks later he had actually emailed the director of the company, and when they hadn’t replied he had left a public review for them saying what had happened (and sadly he wasn’t the only one). The fact he understood that behaviour wasn’t ok without me having to explain it, and reacted without telling me (so I knew it was for the right reasons) was so validating and therefore such a turn on. Is that weird?!?!

Wow, thank you! I dont believe in it either but ill give anything a go at this point. Perhaps I'll hold a seance and see if there are any ghost suiters who are single

I am now dedicating my mental space to NOT being ready to find the love of my life. (Come on universe, do your thang)

I once completely lost myself in watching a much older man drive very, very competently..... so intentional in a way but it wasn't in an attempt to seduce me 😂

I fell for DH when he gave me a lift. The sight of his hand on the gearstick, an inch of white cuff showing over his wristbone below his suit jacket. Hmm.

  1. brought me homemade soup for no reason
  2. arrived at my house and asked for a cloth. Proceeded to clean the outside front door (it was skanky 😂), come in, wash hands and pour me wine.
  3. every single time I meet a milestone in my fitness journey he insists we go out to celebrate and he never, ever mansplains exercise (despite being 10x fitter than me)
