What's the most attractive thing a man has done unintentionally?

Can be your DH/DP/random man. I'm single, so my instances will be of a random man.

When I was at work recently, a man who works there, who is really chatty with me, asked me how my birthday was and idk why but it was such a turn on. Literally no-one else remembered, and I don't expect them to as I don't make a fuss of it, so the fact he remembered it was just really attractive. The bar is in hell guys, pray for me.

Another time was a few months ago; we had a contractor come in to work to fix the lift. We let on and asked how each other is etc, I mentioned being annoyed as I hadn't been able to take a break yet after 6 hours work, so he said go for your break and if anyone says anything he will sort them out. Already a turn on. I go for my break, come back and he is arguing with my manager that I should have had a break by now because of working so long etc. I think I may keep breaking the lift in hopes that he comes back.

Making this thread as I've been on a lot of threads today that ended up being really negative and want a shred of positivity on my Friday night - so, what is the most unintentionally attractive thing that a man has done that you found attractive?

Offered to walk DD down the aisle if her dad's anxiety meant he couldn't face doing it. DP wasn't asked or expected to step in, he just calmly said " if it get's too much for (ExH's name), then I'm here if you need me and always will be".

This probably reflects badly on me but friend was married to a quiet, nice but slightly boring guy. She's very sociable and outgoing and I suppose I always thought they were an odd match.

I bumped into him the morning after their first child was born. He was literally beaming, high on life! Spoke about how great his wife was, how strong, brave and amazing she was during labour, how perfect their little baby was, how meeting my friend was the best thing ever and now the baby etc. He was so happy and is do clear he adored them both. His happiness was infectious.

Just in that moment, and how he was speaking about her, it was so attractive and he was sexy as hell.

Next time I met him, he was back to his normal quiet self, it was gone and thankfully no lasting attraction.

I get it now. He adores her, is a really genuine person and is as solid as a rock.

Just thought about a couple I love about DH.

He can dance and gets real joy from it anytime there's a disco he's on the dancefloor 🕺

We have a ridiculously small dog we knew he'd be small but he is 4kg and tiny DH adores him a few workmates have said they or their husband would refuse to walk him as he's not a masculine enough dog 🐕 DH is just baffled by this.

That was a huge green flag for me he loves animals and is kind to them always.

I once completely lost myself in watching a much older man drive very, very competently..... so intentional in a way but it wasn't in an attempt to seduce me 😂

Not exactly sexy but thoughtful. I had the plumber/electrician/joiner - man who does everything because he's Polish and has that kind of, "Can do" mentality - come round to do something or other in the neverendingly malfunctioning flat and he asked where the vacuum cleaner was so he could clean up afterwards.

I left him in the house by himself to get on with things because from experience, I knew that he would try to recruit me as some kind of apprentice, "Ah Tak! Now you learn how to do it yourself! Too much money to always call for me, simple thing really!"

My dog had been, "Put to sleep" a week or so before and her hair was still in the hoover whatsit. I came back in to see him cleaning out the whole entire mechanism.

"You don't need to be reminded. She was a very good dog. Do you still have her collar and bowls and toys and things?"

It might not have been about me though. My dog was a local celebrity chihuahua. She was a chihuahua before it was fashionable to be a chihuahua. She just had, "It."

You can't buy charisma. She was born with it. From the tips of her big bat like ears to her little tippy tap toes. I was just the thing on the wrong end of the lead for a decade in this village.

What a lovely man. Gone back to Poland now, I believe.

Awww that is so sweet. He sounds like such an honest and true gentleman, I woulf definitely find all of that very attractive!

Im so sorry about your dog, she sounds like she lived her life as a complete diva and deserved the celebrity status that she earnt. My dog is more infamous in my area than famous, but its better than nothing. He must be doing something right as the ladies love him

I’d driven 3 hours to see my mum in hospital and had spent the day trying to sort out care for her and deal with a load of shit that my brother had caused, then in the evening was trying to charge my car for the drive home and the chargers wouldn’t work and I was so stressed and I burst into tears and couldn’t think straight.

Mr knight in shining armour at the next charger helped me download the app, set it all up, and get it working. He was so lovely and sweet to me. I hope he’s reading this!

Thank you for the thread OP, great idea to spread some positivity 😊

Aww I hate it when im all flustered and panicked doing something, or failing to. Someone stepping in to help is like seeing Jesus honestly lmao but honestly he sounded so sweet! I so hope he is reading this too, and DMs you to propose.

Thank you! I've enjoyed this thread so much tbh probably my favourite yet haha still reading through all the comments when I get the chance but they're all so great! I love hearing other people's stories

Went on safari and got set upon by a monkey on the way to the dining hall. With a my then boyfriend and another couple. We all instinctively fell behind boyfriend (including the man in the couple) boyfriend then fought the monkey off. Boyfriend became dh a few months later.

I never knew I needed a man who can fight off monkeys until now, thank you

Sounds like the lovely young man who stopped to help me when my car tyre suffered a puncture thanks to a bloody pothole. He was able to describe location to RAC as I was in what felt like the middle of nowhere. He went to local garage to see if they could help. He then changed my wheel to the spare one in the boot of the car. He was an absolute godsend that day and honestly it’s people like him who restore your faith in human beings. I will never forget him and was so grateful. He said people have helped him before and he was only too glad to help others. A truly, lovely human being. 😊

Aw this honestly does give me hope in mankind tbh, so many people just leave others helpless with a "its not my problem attitude', its the ones who go out of their way when they dont need to that really shine for me. The level of humility and consideration is just so insanely attractive

First date and he picked up the jacket on the floor behind him and handed it to the owner. I thought he was a keeper because I would have done the same. He once sent me a video of him doing some diy I nearly fell over it was hot!

Its the little things like this that do it for me, too! If they're genuine and decent in such little moments without giving it a second thought, you know theyre a keeper.

Also feel free to share the video x

Chop onions 🤣

We were just casually chatting when he whipped out his roll of knives and started prepping tea.

The man cuts with TV chef like precision.

I text my mum from the loo about it.

We bought our house together three weeks ago

This comment is so chaotic I love it hahahahaha

So, so far my ideal man needs to:

Look hot in a swimming pool
Drive
Clean up cat sick
Help old ladies in any way possible
Fight off monkeys
Stop to say hi to cats
Help hedgehogs cross roads (and geese)
Sing / be musical
Do DIY
be able to fix any fault on cars
chop onions like a masterchef contestant
And of course remember my birthday

Im heading to tinder wish me luck

When I do a particularly impressive parallel park (it does happen, every now and then! 😆) I always look around to see if anyone is going to compliment me on it! 🤣🤣

Hahaha this made me laugh so much, next time just start bowing just in case anyone is looking and applauding

Am I seriously the only woman who has spent the last 20 minutes reading all these and not just rolling my eyes, but sticking my fingers down my throat???

Is our bar set that low that we think a bloke is sexy because he washes a few pots, reads a book, moves a few tables or compliments a women on being able to reverse park!!! All fucking normal things that I would expect a bloke or a woman to do.

It’s no wonder they want a bloody medal for the smallest of things.

Don't forget remembering my birthday, the bar is in hell for me

DH had promised to set up the tables for a primary school fair but got busy with work so asked me to go in his place. One of the Dads saw me lifting tables and was like ‘sorry, I can’t allow this’, took over and carried all the tables in double-quick time while I watched on, heart a-flutter.

I'm glad I'm not the only one, but I even stop to talk to the squirrels and foxes the neighbours must think I'm absolutely bonkers

I shout at the squirrels in my garden and spray them with water guns for going in my bin and knocking it over and everyone in my area now thinks im a lunatic (because I am)

Oh my goodness. Feel bad writing this but was out with DH last weekend and I just got chatting to a man at the bar. He wasn't the most handsome, he wasn't the most tall, he was bald, about 55ish (I'm not judging, just trying to create the picture) but omg he was so happy, smiley and friendly. I don't know if he was married but left thinking what a lucky lady his partner was!

I love these kinds of men! There was one who was 50+ at my old work place (i was like 23 at the time lol), was not conventionally attractive but had the charisma of a God. I was so attracted to him. He used to call me 'little (my name)' and it used to give me butterflies everytime hahaha. Personality often trumps looks when it comes to attractiveness, for me!

The common theme in these answers is kindness. Women seem to love kindness.

I wonder how different the answers would be if men were asked the same..

Oh they would be a disgrace. "This one time she bent over and I could see her arse, it was so attractive' is what I imagine it would be. Shallow as a puddle they are

Be kind and patient with his elderly dad with dementia. He's a client I know in a different capacity and he can be kind of annoying sometimes, but one day he had to bring his dad into our office to help him do something. He was really patient and kind with his dad who was confused. We deal with this a lot in our office, but often the adult kids are impatient and abrupt with the parent. I always looked more kindly on him after that!

That is honestly so sweet! And would be very attractive for me, too. Kindness to the elderly/animals is the number 1 theme, it seems!

Visiting a Scottish island which meant a lot to his family. We went a drive to see the sunset and he played the Waterboys song "A Man is in Love" in the most beautiful setting I've ever seen

I hope he proposed right after

One day, whilst cycling to work, and during a particular low point in my long term relationship, there was a scaffolding lorry parked in a side road, blocking my way, when I needed to cross a main road in central London. Just as I was dispairing, some gigantic Adonis appeared from behind the lorry in some sort of climbing harness and ushered me out from behind the lorry, stood on the wrong side of the road, stopping the traffic to allow me to pass safely. Literally my knight in weird canvas strapping armour. I have thought of him often. So hot.

Omg this is the stuff my dreams are made of. Do you have the what 3 words for this location?? I will wait for him

Expertly revved the car to do a perfectly-timed, confident, powerful overtake.

What can I say. Ovaries want what they want 🤷‍♀️

Hahaha I love that last line. I do find things like this attractive, just not boy racers at 12am waking my kids up but other than that, engines revving get my engines revving

Years ago, I was seeing someone who was - on the surface - quite alpha. Sarf London accent, sexy AF, lots of banter but definitely tuned in and thoughtful. Anyway after a few weeks, he took me away for the weekend to a lovely hotel in the countryside.

We got to our room and were unpacking our little weekend bags when he pulled out a brand new copy of Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks because he remembered me saying I keep meaning to read it. I thought that was lovely, but then he PULLED OUT ANOTHER COPY so he could read it too and we could talk about it. Honestly nearly orgasmed right there.

When i think back to that weekend, it was all about lying in the sun reading our books until we couldn't wait to have sex again. But the reading was sooooo hot.

Edited

Stop it you have to be living inside of a romance novel this is too good to be true!! I would have jumped him there and then tbh. Why did you not work out?? He sounds like a god im ngl
