A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Mahmood and Kemi could I reckon. The men bristle and have too much misplaced confidence plus ego based on sod all. They use ‘it’s their fault’ to deflect so they can’t work together.

Kemi offered on something recently, Starmer shat the bed.

Patrick Maguire says Starmer still insisting that he will fight on.

Will be interesting on MN if there's a contest between Burnham and Starmer. 😂

Im
on retreat with a woman who had bollard as her best man two years ago FML I haven’t spoken much to her but she has been vocal about what a great person he is how much he cares blah blah

I haven't caught up with the thread, but I've looked at this and just said "Nooooooooooooooooooo" really loudly, in a horrified tone, to no one.

😂 I do that

It was quite loud 😂

But I mean, imagine trying to get away and have some peace and quiet, and then finding yourself with one of Keir Starmer's friends, defending him

I feel for you @Parsley4321 that is the opposite of relaxing

My most pronounced I think was ‘McSweeney’ like he was a Bond villain and dh was next door and asked what

It was when all that stuff was going on on who leaked what

David Hockney’s died.

As he famously said, “DEATH awaits you all even if you do not smoke”.

I’m very anti-smoking by the way - many of my relatives went far too early because of the wretched tobacco plant - but you’ve got to love a committed libertarian.

Al Carns is gearing up to join the leadership bloodbath, he is saying that we should cut benefits to secure our defences. I wonder how that will land with the Labour contingent?

The greens are completely terrifying, there's no two ways about it.

This!

I suspect he might leave or defect. What he’s saying is anathema to the modern left. To argue for diverting money from welfare to defence is just about as un-modern-Labour as you can get.

That’s pretty good. Looking forward to Starmer getting booted finally.

Right? He's giving Milliband shit too...This is great.

Upstartled · 12/06/2026 15:06

If he defects, I hope he at least stays in the race long enough to hold all their batshit, cowardly bollocks up against the cold light of reality first.

🤣 Oh, hello @Blossomtoes. Are you sure you want me to answer? I might reciprocate with a question and I know you find that ...provacative 😬

I'm a very quiet person so my definition of loud tends to be a lot different than everyone else's 😂

Now picturing "the name's Morgan, Morgan McSweeney". I suppose if you got the right actor.... I mean, Andrew Scott's first line as Moriarty was "is that a British army Browning LA91 in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me?"

written down that looks incredibly clunky, but Andrew Scott made it work so well

sooooooo well <fans self>

Sorry, as you were.
