A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

😂

Is everyone bar Starmer and three loyal followers far right?

Yes that seems to be the case.
One of our favourite posters now puts a little apostrophe before the word right I've noticed. They always write 'right. I wonder what the apostrophe is replacing there 🤔

Well, you have to give it to the left, they fucking love their passive aggressive language games.

Yep. That's how it works, I believe!

Darren Pocket Money Jones blamed Mandelson for the leak? Like, the leak is the problem and not him offering soothing tones and simping for the paedophile apologist and dodging dealings Peter Prince of darkness Mandelson?

Jones is such a dick.

Well yes, you're right there.

I wonder if Mandy will leak all the other disappearing messages?

Oh dear.
The so called disappearing messages between Darren Jones and Mandelson have been leaked to the Spectator.
Jones has blamed Mandelson for the leak.

In another message he discussed plans for economic growth being overseen by Rachel Reeves, the chancellor, Jonathan Reynolds, then the business secretary, and Angela Rayner. He said the prospect “doesn’t fill you with confidence”.

Brilliant. Love these WhatsApp messages, enjoy Labour.

Did anyone hear Alex Chalk on Times this morning quoting his Grandma? So good. 😁

" Say it with flowers, say it with mink, but never ever write it in ink".

I wonder if it's a shot across the bow? If he has Jones' disappearing messages, then he also has Starmer's messages too. That's a lot of leverage for a man helping the police with enquiries.

Sounds like his gran was having an affair. It's telling that it's the same game plan in politics😂

That's weird. Either they're a grammar numpty or it's code to signify something else.

Upstartled · 04/06/2026 10:24

Darren Pocket Money Jones is the kind of politician who never has an original thought to contribute to a discussion. He just hides in the shadows lurking for an opportunity to seek approval from those he admires, greasing up to them in an uncomfortable display of gratitude and does nothing but amplify their voices.

What a sad specimen. How pathetic just to mooch around like a sad dog waiting for a crumb.

These messages, out in the open for everyone to see, make that conspicuous desperation plain. How shameful.

Yes thats what I'm thinking too. Starmer and Reeves both had disappearing messages. They must be shaking in their boots at the prospect of Mandy releasing them.
I don't believe that there are no messages between Starmer and Mandelson around the time of his appointment, or that the decision to appoint him by Starmer was not documented in any way.

I had totally missed it, tbh. I'll be on the look out for it. I don't understand painting centrist voices when they lean a little right as beyond the pale. Where it is obvious it should be unproblematic to identify the far right, but if you are using it to monster regular conservatives and the accusations is so unsafe you have to slip it in as a grammatical signalling, then you'd think that alone should offer some pause for thought.

Yeh they’re getting away with it so far. Mandelson must have them, but said no or something? Not sure how he can refuse.

If he ends up with nothing to lose, it's going to make a cracking book from his jail cell.

redange · 04/06/2026 10:56

I always respected Jack Straw and he has highlighted the gulf in ability even in the Labour Party of the 90's and today. John Prescot looks like a political giant compared to Angela Raynor !

Its no mistake or error. They have a rep for calling everyone far-right and have been called out repeatedly. They've now replaced with an apostrophe.
Look out for it, they post a lot.

They were titans compared to this lot. We'll be clicking our fingers trying to remember cabinet names in 20 years time, but familiar old guard have come out in numbers pleading for common sense lately. Blundell, Blair and Straw in the last fortnight alone.

It's not that I agree with everything that they did, but I'm pleased they are around to offer some guidance to this government and they can make impassioned, articulate cases for normal, obvious principles that are withering under our feet.

Ah my heart and teary eyes, clips of Henry with his sister on IG.

Upstartled · 04/06/2026 12:33

Just watched Badenoch's interview with Julia Harvey Brewer, that's enough to get the watchers in a spin, and she was fantastic. She held the line against Brewer's more bombastic tone and agitation without dismissing the concern of special treatment coded through the language of police policies and training that is of grave concern is Henry's death.

She had just spoken with Henry's family and made their wishes clear that we don't see community inflammation but they are not asking people to remain silence on police accountability - which seems to be a nuance among a lot of the #bequiet finger waggers.

On speaking about Farage, she said it's not good enough to say, just be angry, it's incumbent on politicians to fix the problem.

In comparing these protests with the BLM protests - Brewer tried to frame Kemi's opinions that the BLM protests (and taking the knee by certain politicians ) went too far as an opinion that was only afforded to her because she is black, and Kemi pointed out Dawn Butler's comments and the death threats that followed.

Anyway, worth a watch if you can find it.

Kemi has been excellent on this. She looks and feels like a prime minister (unlike the actual PM).

Is it an LBC interview? I'll try to find it if you could point me in the right direction please?
