Michael Jackson stories

After the new film has come out. Does anyone have any stories of meeting Michael Jackson or hearing about someone you know meeting him?

One year Michael Jackson came to live in Ireland for a time. It was after his trial was over. I think he was in Ireland between 6 months to a year.
I lived in Ireland near to where he stayed for a length of time. He went to our local cinema and the child play area. I know a man that worked with MJ in Ireland. He said that he was very nice and that he was a really, really good father. That was it really.

Anyone have any other stories?

I said to educate yourself (on how trauma can affect people differently) and you said that people who say to educate yourself normally have rainbow hair and like to tell women they’re bigoted Nazis for not letting men in dresses see them naked.

TBF that's usually true.

Well it was very wrong in my case 😂

And if you're stating things like that and then repeating that it's normally true why are you repeatedly getting offended when people are repeating things that they feel are normally true about the supporters?

Errrr

I never mentioned the black community and have no fish to fry in that regard

My point was when Martin Bashir says how much hes facially changed and asks about what surgeries he had, he looks really cross, shakes his head and says in his fake baby voice

No. Its about growing and maturing and changing. Looking him in the eye with a face like a melted candle

My point was that he is a practiced liar and therefore lies.

Bugger all in my post about race

People are determined to twist this

The point is quite clearly that he blatantly lies even when he knows people know he's lying and he just says people are ignorant and that suggestions are ridiculous and blah blah and he repeats the exact same script about his surgery that he does about the accusations in the exact same way.

If he just told lies about his surgery and had never had inappropriate relationships with boys then I don't think many would give a flying fuck if he lied about having surgery.

Supporters frequently try to paint Michael Jackson as this angel-like man who was too kind to ever conceive a wrong. But if you look at the evidence, that is just not what the evidence shows he was at all. He was manipulative and cynical and used people to his own ends.

All the research I have done has led me to believe that he was a narcissist.

I’m also of the opinion that you can judge people by the company they keep.

Found to be not guilty in a court.

I don't think this is the solid gold argument you think it is. Do you know who else was never actually convicted of CSA? That's right, Jimmy Saville. Despite that I have never come across a single person who isn't convinced that he was a prolific paedophile and definitely nobody coming on to social media to mount a passionate defence of his memory! However, if I am wrong and MN is playing host to multiple threads by Saville fans sharing heart-warming stories about the time they met their hero dear old uncle Jim, I am ready to be proved wrong.
In both MJ and JS' cases the evidence is pretty convincing and I am extremely uncomfortable with the way MJ fans talk about his accusers. The fact that documentaries about his alleged abuse were removed from social media channels prior to the release of the movie seems extremely suspect and quite corrupt to me, ditto the film ending in 1987 meaning it didn't have to address any 'unpleasantness'.
I remember when MJ died the news reports also conspicuously avoided mentioning the elephant in the room in favour of glowing eulogies, despite MJ having been persona non grata for well over a decade prior to his death.

Someone listed 'Leaving Neverland 2' on youtube....but when you click on it actually plays 'square one'. How sneaky is that.

I'm convinced he was a narcissist also.

The main things he talks about in clips I've seen were how much of a victim he is and how great he is and how big his heart is and yada yada

But then you see other things and hear his words and how he spoke about women and he was incredibly misogynistic.

He was also incredibly egotistical and had a Messiah complex.

He was incredibly manipulative, not just in how he presented himself but in his behaviour, like walking around with baby dolls crying and telling Lisa Marie that Debbie Rowe would have his baby if she didn't.

Very similar to Jordan Chandlers story about how MJ would cry when he said he didn't like certain things and say that another boy had no problem with him doing it to him.

All his crying about what his dad used to say about his appearance but Michael used to be horrible to Janet and say she need to lose weight cos she looked like a fat cow, but apparently that was done out of the goodness of his heart.....

This is very sad to hear. I have never cared much about MJ's music, I don't really listen to many male singers at all, but Janet is a legend, by far my favourite Jackson and sadly underrated.

MyTrivia · 17/06/2026 13:35

I agree - I really love Janet’s music.

On other threads, there are repeated posts which are hateful to MJ’s accusers.

And hate attacks in real life.
