Michael Jackson stories

Scarlettjune · 10/05/2026 18:29

After the new film has come out. Does anyone have any stories of meeting Michael Jackson or hearing about someone you know meeting him?

One year Michael Jackson came to live in Ireland for a time. It was after his trial was over. I think he was in Ireland between 6 months to a year.
I lived in Ireland near to where he stayed for a length of time. He went to our local cinema and the child play area. I know a man that worked with MJ in Ireland. He said that he was very nice and that he was a really, really good father. That was it really.

Anyone have any other stories?

There's no way actual victims of CSA behave the way they do.

What are you basing that on and what way should they be behaving?

See this is exactly what I was going to say

There is no "way" that everyone behaves in a situation, grieving for instance, my brother and I were completely different, he joked and i cried.

A blanket statement on the way they behaved is not proof that they lied.

On the other hand evidence in court had childrens fingerprints on barely legal magazines, THAT, to me is a little more solid evidence to consider

@BarryManilowsWardrobe one of the main things that convinced me his was innocent was that bloody awful Leaving Neverland (or whatever it's called) documentary with Wade Robson and James Safechuck. The director has it planned out as a trilogy and plans to film the ongoing court cases Robson and Safechuck have against the estate.

The way they both behave in that documentary just makes me think they're massive liars. There's no way actual victims of CSA behave the way they do.

Edited

You said you believed he was guilty for years.

Just because you believe these are liars why would that make you disbelieve someone from 20 years before?

I asked your opinion on the Jordan Chandler accusations and you didn't make a very convincing argument, you just seem to believe the supporters myth with no consideration for the reality of human behaviour.

It's very normal for abuse victims to deny it initially and for parents to want to go scorched earth.

Jimmy Savile was never found guilty either.

Michael Jackson is innocent, end of!

You are funny

End of🤣

Well that's me convinced. Childrens fingerprints all over his porno collection, marks on his penis described by an underage boy, the fact that they were all clones of each other replaced when they got older, I could go on

But you with your angry exclamation marks and saying end of, theres an intelligent rebut.

Ever thought of taking up legal work?🤣🤣

I’ve already said I went down a rabbit hole after watching the movie. I can’t list everything that has convinced me or we’d be here all day. Also not sure why I need to justify changing my mind?

As have I

Not everyone behaves like a homogeneous mass.

Yep, I laugh in response to trauma and make jokes, always did and thought it served me well until I ended up developing physical health problems as a result of the trauma. I had to make a witness statement before and laughed loads during, not in relation to the crime, but they wanted to know all about my relationship with a certain person in which a lot of traumatic things happened and I was like a stand up comedian the whole time. Luckily for me the detectives were very trauma informed.

I really find it incredible that people continue to perpetuate this lie that abuse victims wouldn't behave a certain way, when they are referring to common, and normal behaviour that is found among many victims of abuse.

And yet on the other hand the exact same people choose to believe that MJ had a completely unique response to his own abuse to the point where his coping mechanism for his past meant he had to always have little boys in his bed, which literally no other person on earth does except if they are pedophiles.

Like come on!!!!!!!!

Not sure how people can actually seriously make these arguments.

But then I heard something very apt the other day, parrots just parrot back everything they hear, but parrots don't actually understand what they're saying!

At least parrots (the bird) have a good reason, with their walnut sized brain, when it comes to people it's just willful ignorance.

Personal experience.

You really should educate yourself then because there really is no excuse for this ignorance in this day and age, especially when talking about something so incredibly serious.
It is wildly offensive to many people and you could also risk re-traumatising people.

People that say “educate yourself” usually have rainbow hair and like to tell women they’re bigoted Nazis for not letting men in dresses see them naked.

Are you saying I should go through my own CSA again in order to “educate myself”?

Also it’s a bit fucking hypocritical to tell me I’m a “parrot” when you’re repeating what the majority of people on this thread are already saying.

Why does it bother you so much that I changed my mind and disagree with you?

Could not be any further than me tbh 😂😂😂

No, I'm saying that a google search would provide you serious, credible and peer reviewed sources which will show you that what you are saying is factually incorrect.

I am very sorry that that happened to you and I on't think anyone should have to do this research if they found it traumatising or triggering of course, but if you're making statements saying that victims of CSA wouldn't behave like that then you cannot expect that to go on unhindered without people calling it out, and people will tell you to research it or educate yourself if you try to call other victims liars because you don't think they're behaving the right way a victim should behave.

From my perspective I would never tell you how you should feel in reaction to trauma. Im sorry for your experience

Equally you should not make statements that the victim of child abuse is lying because noone "behaves" like that

You dont know how each individual reacts to trauma, and I find it a little crass that you would say that

My own experience might have had someone say I was lying due to my 'behaviour' I went off the rails drinking and worse. Thankfully it was recognised that trauma affects people differently!9

I didn't see this edit before I responsed.

It doesn't bother me necessarily that you changed your mind, it bothers me when people spread myths.

BarryManilowsWardrobe · 15/06/2026 19:37

@MrsOfButt You’re revealing yourself now. I neither have rainbow hair, and TW definitely aren’t women. Is that ok for you? I still stand by my earlier comment about the lack of intelligence of SOME of his defenders. And yes, they should educate themselves. As should you based on your ridiculous views of victimhood. SA survivors aren’t a homogenous group ffs. I am baffled that you think it’s acceptable to make such a sweeping statement. How are victims supposed to behave? Do you automatically disbelieve a victim if they don’t behave in a way you find palatable?

Quite frankly, I do not blame any of his victims for going after his money. They sure as hell didn’t have a chance of justice via the criminal justice system. The system that found OJ Simpson, George Zimmerman and Casey Anthony not guilty!

Your first paragraph you mentioned laughing when in response to trauma etc,yet you posted a video a while back of a Jackson police interview, when he was laughing and smiling/smirking etc. There seems to be one rule for you and another for anyone else 🤔

Didn't see this bit of your edit either.

We can actually back up what we're saying though and converse about it. I would have been perfectly willing to carry on discussing the claims and rebutting points.

MJ fans parrot the same lines 'He didn't have a childhood', 'He just loved children'

And then they parrot certain 'rebuttals', such as how what Evan Chandler said being apparently proof he just wanted to destroy him for money, and when those arguments are rebutted further by those who believe MJ was guilty that tends to be met with crickets and then supporters just go back to parroting the same crap.

BarryManilowsWardrobe · 15/06/2026 19:51

And you also said earlier that MJ behaving as he did was completely different than the average Joe behaving as such because of his fame. Maybe his victims don’t behave in the way you would like because of this too. When millions of people are treating your abuser like Demi god, that must affect your behaviour.

Yep, I was actually going to discuss this at the time.

The difference is I do it ALL THE TIME.

MJ portrays himself as a permanent victim, always so sad and meek, never heard anyone describing MJ as the type to laugh in response to trauma.

I don't commit crimes, but I've often thought that if I'm ever falsely accused of something I'm so happy that there's hours and hours of interviews recorded of me which show that this is just the way I am and I do laugh very inappropriately.

Indeed

We've Andy thankfully stripped of his royalty and reputation having paid out millions, and rightfully so. Hes never been tried and should be shipped over to answer questions

Meanwhile the prince of pop has had NUMEROUS allegations and paid out millions.

Due to the lack of actual evidence in SA cases they may legally not win their case, I hope they do though. That all said anyone I've asked who was ambivalent about his music thinks he was a pedophile, strangely those who worshipped him continue to blindly do so.

They were.
I mentioned what was on the rest of the recordings.
Also how he's been investigated for extortion and no charges were filed.
Also that his comments about wanting to destroy him are very normal and not in any way out of line with what someone might say if they thought their child was being abused.

You really should stop being hateful towards victims of CSA. What on earth are you talking about? Are you a clinical psychologist? I doubt it.

Yes the people that think that MJ is a child abuser, look at the difference between him and Jimmy Saville! MJ was also amazing with animals, he just didn’t have any bad bone in his body and was torn apart, jimmy saville on the other hand makes me feel sick to the stomach and always did!

Every human being has a ‘bad bone’ in their body. Nobody (and I really do mean nobody) is an innocent saint.

As for MJ, he was about as far as you can get from being a saint, but he certainly was one of the most gifted groomers in history, as attested by his delulu fans.
