Michael Jackson stories

After the new film has come out. Does anyone have any stories of meeting Michael Jackson or hearing about someone you know meeting him?

One year Michael Jackson came to live in Ireland for a time. It was after his trial was over. I think he was in Ireland between 6 months to a year.
I lived in Ireland near to where he stayed for a length of time. He went to our local cinema and the child play area. I know a man that worked with MJ in Ireland. He said that he was very nice and that he was a really, really good father. That was it really.

Anyone have any other stories?

Have you seen any footage? He said in the Martin Bashir interview that he slept on the floor! Also his bedroom was absolutely huge! He was bought up in a big family so it wasn’t unusual for them all to share a bed, also he answered every question thrown at him! He didn’t hide anything! Look how many children he helped . I’ve seen videos where he looks so fed up of these accusations! I mean where is your proof he is guilty? Where? He was found not guilty! … meanwhile it’s great listening to his amazing music, the film was brilliant!! So uplifting! You’re missing out!

Have you? He's said multiple times that he sleeps in bed with children. It doesn't matter what size the bedroom was, they slept in his bed.

Of course he's fed up of the allegations, he wanted to get away with it and was frustrated that only half the world would lap up 'society is just ignorant' defence.

The proof is the fact he quite obviously had deeply inappropriate relationships with boys, slept in the same bed as them, replaced his 'special friends' with a younger one when they got too old, engaged in textbook grooming behaviour, he's had multiple accusers, others have witnessed some of this behaviour, the police said that Jordan Chandlers description of the markings on his penis matched. He had books of photos of naked boys locked up in a filing cabinet, books made by pedophiles and used by pedophiles.

The way he speaks about children and their innocence and beauty is EXACTLY how a certain type of pedophile speaks, his behaviour is the same, blaming society for being ignorant is the same, and by contrast his behavior, inappropriate relationships with them and putting the in situations they should never be in is the exact opposite of how a person who really cared about protecting children would behave, they would not be normalizing sleeping in bed with unrelated adults and engaging in grooming behaviour.

There is more evidence that MJ was a pedophile than for many other pedophiles, particularly in historic cases.

On top of that pretty much everything that the MJ supporters use to rebut the arguments range from misleading to downright lies.

I don't care that he was found not guilty for that one case, that is meaningless to me, OJ Simpson and Casey Anthony were also found not guilty and I also believe that those 2 were guilty as sin too.

So why do you think he didn’t go public with the abuse before?

For the same reasons that many other victims of abuse and grooming often take a long time to come forward.

OK. But he started writing a book not long after the email (and rejection) in 2011. The email in which he said he’d “love nothing more than to choreograph the MJ show”. He wanted to make the show “amazing” for a few people, including Jackson (he says in the email). Then comes the attempt at legal action, in 2013.

Oh my god, simple minded people that listen to what the media tells them, like I said, research!

MJ himself openly admitted he slept in the same bed as these young boys.
In the room where he slept with them, police found pornography and poppers.
There are many possible reasons for all of this but they are all preposterous in comparison with the most plausible and obvious one - that he was sexually assaulted those children.
If my next door neighbour or local parish priest or whatever said that they as an adult had regular sleep overs with children and shared a bed with them and it was a beautiful, innocent thing there’s not a chance in hell I would believe such a thing, so why would I believe it of Michael Jackson?
It’s nothing to do with the “media”. It’s physical evidence and words straight from his own mouth.
Why did he only want boys of a certain age as his “special friends”? And as pp said, why did he then dump them once they had matured? Because the overwhelming likelihood is that he was a perverted predator who had access to the best legal representation in the world, both to defend him after he suspected of his crimes and to preemptively set things up to aid in defence for when this inevitably happened.

You mean "since the movie is on track to make a billion dollars". Funny that 🤦‍♂️🤔🙄

The film wasn't out when Finding Neverland was filmed. If you think those two men are lying, there's something wrong with you.

LoudBee · 13/06/2026 21:28

very poor and cringey acting from those two men!!

gummywitch · 13/06/2026 21:33

DD was a massive fan and got to meet him at 17 when she went to the Dorchester in London where he was staying one time. He climbed on a car in the car park and she got to hold his hand. Think there's a pic on the net of this somewhere. She was mostly obsessed with his dancing skills and did a lot of MJ dancing in London clubs whilst at uni as a tribute act. She did a big u turn about liking him once she'd researched the allegations after his death.

I can assure you many of us feel the same about MJs acting, even Lisa Marie said that that meek quiet victim act he puts on isn't anything like how he really is.

Corryvreckan · 13/06/2026 21:37

Pedophile, pedophile, pedophile.

That’s the only story anybody needs to know about him.

Got away with it because of extreme wealth, fame and partly race because he and his family weaponised racism much as OJ, R Kelly and Bill Cosby did.

I’d like to think this would not be quite so easily achieved here but the US seems incapable of rational thought in these types of case.

gummywitch · 13/06/2026 21:40

Re Jimmy Savile, my mates and I used to get tickets to go to where they filmed TOTP every week and had the misfortune to stand either side of him for the song intros he'd do. We were only 14 or 15 and I remember when he put his hand on my friend's bum whilst we were next to him and she wanted to leave but we couldnt as they were filming us. He gave off such creepy vibes. Stank of cigar smoke - was allowed to smoke right there in the studio I remember his gold lame tracksuit. We did our best to avoid him after that.

I find Michael Jackson fans, the devoted, unquestioning ones, are a bit, er, odd.

It’s like a cult 😳

@SqueakyFromme putting everything else aside for a sec, Latoya's ex husband abused her and beat the shit out of her! Threatened her life and threatened her with her knife. He also threatened to harm her family if she didn't do his bidding. I wouldn't believe anything that evil bastard said.

SqueakyFromme · 14/06/2026 18:53

@MrsOfButt he really does not sound like a nice man at all. Poor Latoya.

BarryManilowsWardrobe · 14/06/2026 20:26

@LoudBee How do you get through life with your level of delusion? And you have the audacity to call others simple minded. MJ supporters are frequently of low intelligence and lack critical thinking imo.

R Kelly was found not guilty of sex offences years ago, does that mean he doesn’t belong in prison now? I mean, by your logic, one acquittal should immune that person from ever being guilty of a similar crime in the future. OJ Simpson was found not guilty. And if you believe he is innocent, then there’s no hope for you.

A grown man admitted to sharing a bed with young boys. How can anyone defend that? It’s not normal, and there’s no excuse. He wasn’t a child trapped in a man’s body. He was a shrewd businessman, and his creepy voice/mannerisms were an act. He married two women as a cover,
and he likely isn’t the father of his children.

jimmy Saville was never found guilty either, but it’s universally understood that the victims are telling the truth. He also raised a lot of money for charity, probably did more good than MJ. Still an nonce, as was MJ.

This is delusional. He was absolutely abusing children and I think the people who still defend him need to take a good look at themselves. Questioning other posters' IQs is laughable.

TF? There’s no need for this level of vitriol! The man is dead, whether he was a predator or not no more children can be harmed.

I was a fan of MJ as a kid, and then the 1993 allegations came out and I went off him. Thought he was guilty, and pretty much thought he was guilty until recently when I watched the film.

Afterwards I couldn’t make these 2 ideas of one man coexist in my head. So I started looking into everything more closely. I never really paid close attention after the 1993 allegations. I was a teenager and living my life.

I ended up going down a rabbit hole on MJ’s life. The circumstances around each allegation, what the allegations were, the timelines, the kids who were making the allegations. I made sure I was always looking at both sides. I don’t want to support a perv!

After watching tonnes of videos, reading court transcripts etc I’m convinced he wasn’t guilty. I think he was hounded by a media who made far more money out of him if he was guilty rather innocent.

I think kids like Jody Chandler and Gavin Arviso were vulnerable and they were pushed and coerced by their parents. I think Wade Robson and James Safechuck and the Cascio family are grifters who are out for what they can get.

Buy hey, what do I know? The fact that I did my research before reaching a conclusion and not just straight up believing what the media and a biased Netflix documentary told me, obviously means I’m of low intelligence and lack critical thinking skills.

What makes you think that poster was referring to you?

She didn't say all supporters, she said 'frequently of low intelligence and lack critical thinking skills'. I would tend to agree, particularly regarding lack of critical thinking skills, because it's fairly evident by some peoples comments that they do lack them, but it certainly doesn't mean that I think it's a case for all who believe he's innocent. I have seen a rare few supporters who can admit that they can see why people believe he's guilty and don't have to resort to insults. I do think in a lot of those cases their research stopped at a certain point though, and if they had just dug deeper they would see that the things they think were rebutted really weren't at all, they've just been misled.

I think he's guilty as sin but if he didn't sexually abuse them (I still think he did but let's say for the sake of argument that he didn't) I still think it was almost as bad what he did, it was still grooming behaviour whether intentional or not, which can cause huge psychological harm.

He was making kids feel like they were the centre of his world, showering them with gifts and attention then replacing them with a new 'special friend'. Brett Barnes and Wade Robson were put on TV at only 11 years old saying he never touched them inappropriately, what a terrible position for them to have to be in, and did MJ learn from it or care about the impact on them? Fuck no, he still kept it up. They have had to go through their lives with people asking him did he touch them sexually.

And people want to put this down to the media, seemingly trying to suggest that if it weren't for the media suggesting it that no one would have ever have had concerns about this, which just isn't true, many would have thought the behaviour was deeply disturbing if they were aware of it and like all problematic things from the 90s/00s people would definitely be questioning it now even if no one had ever accused him of sexual abuse.

Also the media reported things that he was actually doing, such as having special friends and sleepovers, and that he paid off Jordan Chandler.

Obviously they had to report on things like that unless people think that MJ should have been untouchable and nothing bad or concerning should ever have been printed about him just because some people think he's a sweet angel man.

It's like it's always everyone elses fault for MJ looking bad, the media, Martin Bashir, the Rabbi...even though they're just discussing what MJ does or says and the scandals he has got himself caught up in etc.

He consistently said MJ never touched him until his dad (who had previously been recorded on the phone stating he was going to make millions and ruin MJ’s life) put him under a sedation drug and repeatedly asked him leading questions about MJ abusing him and recorded his answers. Evan Chandler was noted for his attempts at trying to get money out of MJ.

@MrsOfButt Notice how I said “frequently”, not “always”? Details are important before you get too offended. There is every need for vitriol when people defend an obvious predator. Again, Jimmy Saville was not convicted. Is he innocent of his crimes? Is OJ? Virginia Guiffe got paid off by the Queen, was she a liar too? The cognitive dissonance MJs fan possess is almost frightening. What the hell would it take to convince people? He literally admitted to sleeping with unrelated children. He was also very cunning about who his victims were. Struck up a friendship with Macauley Culkin so he had a character witness who would vehemently deny the allegations because he wasn’t SA’d. Instead, he targeted boys from poorer families who would then be accused of being after money if they told. He owned pictures/books of naked boys.

Ive asked this before on a previous thread, but never got an answer. Humour me. Your next door neighbour is a middle aged man. Single. He had an awful childhood. His father beat him, made him work all hours from a young age to support the family. He now likes to have play dates with primary school aged boys. He’s even bought a garden full of play equipment to amuse them. He likes to have them sleepover in his bed. This, he tells you, is a beautiful thing. The most loving thing you can do is share your bed with someone. A few years later, one of the boys reports that he was abused by this man. Your neighbour tells you they’re just after the large inheritance he has come into. Do you believe the neighbour?

Yes, I am angry about it. This new film will make a fortune for his estate. Hopefully this will benefit his children rather than his rapist brother.

That I can agree with. And in this respect - there being no sexual abuse - the parents were just as bad. Didn’t he gift the parents stuff?

I never said I believed everyone accused of SA was innocent. 🤨 I also said I believed he was guilty for decades.

in answer to your hypothetical question, no absolutely not! I never said I agreed with the ridiculous choices he made or that I thought the parents of these kids were innocent either. Comparing a rich neighbour to the biggest superstar on the planet is a bit of a stretch, the man didn’t know what normal was. He had worked everyday since he was 5 and was famous from age 8 onwards.
