I’ve spoken to thousands of Labour canvassers and they all report the same thing back from the doorstep: no-one’s interested in tax, unemployment or the cost of heating and petrol. They’re all obsessed with Boris Johnson’s cake habits. And promoting trans rights.

I can only imagine that the demise of Labour has brought out the worst instincts in our ‘virtuous’ friends.
