A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour* *government. 💙

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

https://www.moreincommon.org.uk/latest-insights/more-in-common-final-holyrood-mrp/ Bit more polling in Scotland. Labour down to 13 MSPs in this one.

Labour trounced but SNP short of the majority to demand a referendum? If so, sounds good.

Crikey! 0 constituency seats for Labour.
Anas Sarwar must be furious with Bollard & Co.

Starmer, the reverse Midas.

Let’s hope Sarwar repeats calls for the ring-binder to call it a day.

WaffleBomb · 04/05/2026 17:06

Oh I can't wait for Friday! 🥂

Routed in Scotland, first ever loss of Wales, and trounced across England.
Some polls suggest the first minister of Wales will actually lose her seat. Well done Starmer 👏

I hope so. Then Labour can’t keep going on about ‘it doesn’t come up on the doorstep’.

Yeh right!

In previous roles, we would call a person like Starmer, ‘the bonus inhibitor’…

😎

I’ve spoken to thousands of Labour canvassers and they all report the same thing back from the doorstep: no-one’s interested in tax, unemployment or the cost of heating and petrol. They’re all obsessed with Boris Johnson’s cake habits. And promoting trans rights.

Time for a spot of ‘family voting’, perhaps….

Pacificsunshine · 04/05/2026 17:41

Thanks for the new thread @WaffleBomb !

Seems that I missed a dramatic ending on the last thread .

Re the previous thread ending - pathetic and sad.

I have no idea what was said, but I can't imagine it was offensive

We're so polite here 😇

Oh for heaven’s sake. Now me as well! Deleted for a perfectly reasonable comment!

What are these complainers on?

I can only imagine that the demise of Labour has brought out the worst instincts in our ‘virtuous’ friends.

Pretty sure you said nothing against talk guidelines. And I kind of repeated it, but haven't been chopped...yet!

Fascinating how this demise is playing out!

For nasal tosspot?

It is rather enjoyable. Mn has been pro Labour for so long now. All unravelling.

Albertroad · 04/05/2026 18:51

For nasal tosspot?

Seems unlikely. Not only is it far less rude than language used all over MN, but it’s true.

🤷‍♀️

Albertroad · 04/05/2026 18:51

Perhaps amend it slightly to ‘adenoidal tosspot’?

I’m hoping for some major short circuiting on Friday onwards.

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 04/05/2026 19:10

We’ll be well visited on Friday.

Posters on this thread with our hurty words are solely responsible for the demise of Labour.

Oh god that. Apparently a few women on mn who pointed out Labour’s economic policies were dire pre GE are responsible for bringing down Starmer 😬

Perhaps if Labour had listened they wouldn’t be facing annihilation.

It is utterly ridiculous.
