Where did you read that? The Trump family might be one of the richest families in America but not the world, not by a long long way!

That would have required a medium sized ground invasion which Trump was partially elected because he swore not to do that. They may well have taken the island in an initial surprise attack but holding it would be infinitely more complicated and require ongoing group troop presence in the 10s of thousands for th entirely of the war. There use much that Iran can do about air bombings but their entire army would have rushed to ther island to fight. It would have likely resulted in heavy casualties from America for little gain.

This war has been a copy and paste from Venezuela because Trump thought that the same tactics would work. The Venezuelan Government was corrupt but the Iran Government are full of religious hardliners. A corrupt person just wants to benefit so as soon as a Trump won, they were going to cave for their own sake. Iran are fighting for their principles and the survival of their regime. There were never going to capitulate because an armada amassed at their door. I can’t fathom that Trump didn’t see this coming .

I think if he's stupid enough to go after Cuba, as threatened, he might find it even more of an international scandal. It is far from perfect but has a powerful historic mythology, exports doctors and is very, very different to Iran, for any faults.

Agree or disagree with him and I am in between on occasion, he is the only person who has shown any intent on stopping them building a nuclear warhead, do you think they would think twice about bombing Israel or the US or us because they wouldn’t.

I think his rhetoric was definitely meant as a means to push them forward to negotiate and he wouldn’t have nuked them, he would’ve obliterated major infrastructure like electricity which would he in turn impact them as a civilisation and set them back decades, it is all about interpretation, some on here thought he would nuke them, I saw it a different way.

The problem is that none of it is positive for the Iranian people, for those in Lebanon and dare I say from an economic perspective the rest of the world.
