It's all just bluster. He never actually does what he threatens to do. Remember the wall that he was 'definitely' going to build? He was going to invade Canada and Greenland.

It's all just attention diverting from the actual people in charge who are absolutely not broadcasting their very real intentions.

I am concerned. I doubt it will end in nukes tonight. But I do think this will continue for a long time. I worry about fuel and food prices, social unrest etc. Everything just seems so bleak at the moment.

I’m a first generation American and I honestly find my friends at home becoming ‘smaller’ in the face of geopolitics. I wonder if there’s a collective exhaustion/fear that has ultimately silenced people in the most fundamental way. My brother never discusses politics with me. We grew up in a household where geopolitics, history, and local politics were always guests at the table. To never hear a thought or an opinion or even a fear or concern from him is, to me, really unusual.
I honestly think Americans are so collectively dumbed down, most of them don’t even know their rights. The US has been totally infected by complacency, white male supremacy, and Christian extremism- once all fringe elements, now mainstream.

He's exactly the same as Putin. In over his head but can't back down. I do hope there's someone with influence in the administration who can find some way for him to back down whilst saving face.

Heres the thing. No one is panicking. He has been threatening and giving ultimatums since late March. Doesn’t make a difference. You can’t convince those with extreme religious ideology and who believe in martyrdom to bend to your ways.

So he will ramp up and ramp up….and nothing will happen. Iran won’t cave. He’s never had anyone who won’t bend to his ways….its why he is saying increasing unhinged nonsense, in an attempt to get a reaction from Iran. Won’t work.
