I felt humiliated today

At work today my manager brought us some treats in for Easter, I had a biscuit and was eating it on the shop floor, she actually told me off I felt like a naughty school girl, she told me to hide it, I felt so humiliated, this isn’t the first time she’s done things like this, is she bullying me?

It took 2 seconds to eat, it wasn’t a burger and fries or anything

Seriously? You don't eat on the shop floor where there are customers full stop, that's not hard to understand is it?

Oh, so is that not eating, then?

I don’t ignore rules, I didn’t realise eating one small biscuit would be such a crime, she’s always having a go at me or making digs anyway

Why don’t you give us some other examples so we can better judge..

I’ve worked in shops all my life and I’ve never been allowed to eat on the shop floor.
Was there anyone else eating on the shop floor?

How come customers come in with food and drinks then when they’re not supposed to?

Tbh I wouldn’t expect anyone on the shop floor to be eating. I did retail many years ago and it was common sense.

I’ve never seen a retail worker eating in the shop.

Maybe your boss doesn't like you because you think rules don't apply to you so consequently you are hard to manage.

I recently won colleague of the month I won a gift voucher, she made me feel small saying “oh we are just waiting for you to leave so we don’t have to give it to you’

C’mon, nothing in OPs responses indicates she’s crazy difficult to manage.

You're at work, surely you know you can't eat on the shop floor. No she wasn't bullying, she was reprimanding you.

I think we can all see who the problem is here.

Put the spade down and stop digging that hole, it matters not what the item of food was, that you weren't on the till, it took 2 seconds or any other excuse you are making, eating on the shop floor where customers are is not allowed and is wholly unprofessional. Just accept you were wrong, don't try and justify it, and don't do it again.
