I think the amendment is going to struggle as it is for completely incapacitated Presidents, not ones who fight back. Trump is showing up so many flaws with the Constitution, we can only hope someone is actually taking notes.

I think I am right that the only person he can't fire is Vance - so anyone suggesting he should go is a sitting duck. Vance will effectively have to order a coup?

I can see a future where Iran holds the SoH closed until someone has paid for the damage Israel and US have done. With the implication that if damage is ongoing, then the costs will be ongoing.

That will eventually be translated into the rest of the world doing what they can to pressure the US and Israel to stop.

Hesitant to support Iran - but a US regime change would be amazing! I know it’s a troll.

But perhaps both Iran and the US could agree to both change their regimes - overseen by a world vote, or someone like Gandhi maybe 🤔

DH and finally got round to watching Nuremberg last night. Good film, so many prescient warnings about our current times…

I'm not holding my breath for the 25th, but right now it seems the only way to resolve the war is to cart off the big orange loon and put the adults in charge.

The damage he's done since being let loose in the White House is incalculable and probably irrecoverable.

Possibly the only country benefiting from this war is Russia though, with the lifting of sanctions, not to mention the nose dive in American popularity globally and in Iran which was previously possibly one of the most pro-American countries in the area, so I doubt that is likely.

Re the bingo card, there's no way Trump can pronounce the words 'thermo nuclear device' even after several tries.

At church yesterday morning we had a visiting bigwig (keen we should know he usually preaches at a Cathedral). He attempted to address rhe 'state of the world'. Like rhe Pope in his inorgural Omni et Urbi address, he didn't specifically mention DJT, but it was very clear that he considered current approach as main problem. He didn't come to any radical conclusions other rhan: 'love one another as God loves you'. He tried?

I'm quite sure Putin has been popping the champagne at this shambles.

We know he has direct phone calls with Trump, and we've seen over the years how skilled he is at directing Trump – to the point Trump publicly announces he believes Putin over the FBI, never mind his utterances on Ukraine.

I've long believed Putin to be egging Trump on in his imperialist ambitions – Greenland, Venezuela.

But the current situation must be beyond Putin's wildest hopes.
