Daily, unless I stood on something wet, or had reason to change due to exercise!

PyongyangKipperbang · 22/03/2026 18:12

Depends.

Work socks, as soon as I come in as I am on my feet all day. Normal wear with shoes, every day. But if I am slobbing about at home and dont leave the house, probably every couple of days as they are not getting sweaty or dirty as I have to wear crocs due to plantar fasciatis

I only wear socks when I’m out the house and wear them once and wash.

i leave the house at 11 am and get home at 6pm and take socks off as soon as I’m home. Would rather walk about with bare feet.

I used to be like this re: bare feet but since passing 40, I just can’t do it! My feet are freezing all the time!

Every few days..My feet aren't that dirty and I don't want to be wedded to my washing machine

🤢🤢🤢 Sorry but that’s revolting

Daily, however today will be a 3 pair day.

I put clean on this morning, then went to the gym. Had a shower after and put on a clean pair. We’re going out for dinner, so likely another pair when I get changed.

This is extreme. Do you have other things you’re obsessive about? Genuine question

Yes, but the rest of the body sweats in that way as well. Most of us get a particular smell on our feet so it looks like the poster really is different.

I found I got much less sweaty/ smelly once I went into peri, which I know is the opposite to a lot of people. I don’t even use deodorant in winter as I just don’t sweat and no longer get BO ( and believe me the people in my life would just tell me if I did as we are all v upfront about stuff like that). It must be hormonal but I don’t really understand why it’s gone this way. Socks… generally daily but I tend not to wear them v long so I might leave them on my boots and stick them back on again the next day.

Wishicouldgetofftgesofa · 22/03/2026 18:52

Every day

I was about to say daily then saw your second comment. With merino hiking socks if I've just worn them for a couple of hours I would wear them another day. I don't really have sweaty/smelly feet though.

This. Normal socks and out and about, every day. But my super soft cashmere ones, if I am just wearing them in the house for an hour or two then I'll wear them the next day

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 22/03/2026 19:06

I guess I'm the only one then who wears them for a two or three days, and then puts them on like gloves for dusting the chandeliers and polishing wine glasses?

Thought so.

Jack80 · 22/03/2026 19:08

Daily same as underwear

I’ve been out of the house in the wilds
all day yesterday and today and had worn the same socks (and clothes!) both times …I have changed my pants though.

fwiw I’ve never had smelly, or sweaty feet…not that there was anyone close enough to sniff my muckboots, I’ve been entirely on own.

SpookedMackerel · 22/03/2026 19:10

I wouldn’t usually put worn socks back on, so if I have a shower and get dressed again it will be into clean socks.

I would always wear cotton socks under slippers socks (or slippers), so slipper socks could last for a while without needing to be washed.

ACIGC · 22/03/2026 19:16

Every day unless I had one of those days that they felt funny so I took them off after an hour or so.

Happytaytos · 22/03/2026 19:19

Daily mostly. Apart from the pure wool ones I've never washed.

ilovepixie · 22/03/2026 19:23

I hope this is a joke!

Parsleyforme · 22/03/2026 19:27

I change them every day or sometimes twice a day if I’m sweaty. But slipper socks or a second woolly pair around the house I wash less because they’re not contacting my skin. Same for jumpers compared to tops

GrueyTwoey · 22/03/2026 19:29

I change the right one every other day, but the left one on my birthday.
It's because I favour my right foot.

I do lots of revolting things .

03cg73 · 22/03/2026 19:38

Everytime I take a pair off they go in the wash

Nannoonanoo · 22/03/2026 19:39

I go thru 3 pairs a day sometimes because I always end up getting them wet, I do washing up by hand so get them wet or go in the bathroom geet them wet

AgnesMcDoo · 22/03/2026 19:39

Every day

fetchacloth · 22/03/2026 19:42

Daily, but I've been doing the garden, or out walking, I'll change them again.

TheeNotoriousPIG · 22/03/2026 19:43

I usually change mine twice a day (morning and afternoon) on work days, as I am on my feet farming all day, and they get hot and sweaty in wellies (or wet, if my boots spring a leak). Occasionally, they may get changed more frequently if I get a hole in the heel. Due to us all getting through vast amounts of socks at work, we have concluded that we should have an additional Sock Allowance, and compare notes on the best and most durable brands of socks...

If I'm not in work, I only really wear socks if I'm going out (I like being barefoot at home!), but they get changed every day.
