Flew out to our Villa two weeks ago.. had to nip back home for an appointment on Sunday... flew back Tuesday. Flight was 3 pm. Two women mid to late 40s travelling in pjs . One set from Tu..l know because l have the same .. other womens was shein or temu.. it didn't look like they were running late or anything.. both had full face of makeup and hair styled lovely... no slippers but one in trainers.. other in sliders.. my companion told me they had seen women before flying in pjs. What are your opinions?

Comfy clothes yeah - joggers and crocs

But not a full on pj set

SlovenlyPig · 12/03/2026 22:10

I would place wearing pyjamas on a plane in the same category as scrunch bum leggings, and those furry slipper things that some women used to wear on the school run (it’s been awhile since I last did a school run so don’t know if they still do!). It’s tacky and attention-seeking. Just don’t.

madaboutpurple · 12/03/2026 22:30

I agree, it is fine to wear comfortable clothes but I would not go as far as wearing PJ's.

MilkyMamma · 13/03/2026 07:39

Biggest stealth boast ever, the first sentence could have been ‘I was on a 3pm flight…’

Each to their own I guess, loungewear is comfy. Slippers would’ve been a step too far.

No.

it is different. Just stick some leggings on, they are outdoor clothes.

Why and how is it different?

Staying in a hotel and a woman showed up for breakfast in her pjs and dressing gown and slippers. She actually got turned away.

''One set from Tu..l know because l have the same .. other womens was shein or temu..''

What on earth does the brand have to do with anything???
Would you not have complained if they had been designer?

I haven't complained at all.. where did l say that? I named the brand as l have already explained.. to say they were definitely pjs because l have the same.. because some lounge wear can look like pjs. Is that a good explanation for you? Or shall l keep repeating myself?

Who cares ?? They werent harming anyone

It looks ridiculous !
Put on a pair of tracksuit bottoms or exercise leggings

Kickinthenostalgia · 14/03/2026 22:59

Personally no… but if others want to then that’s thier business. I’m a get dressed as soon as I’m up type of girl. No lounging in pjs going on here.

I've actually taken slippers to wear on the plane. I've worn shoes until we take off and they go back on when I go to the loo or we land. Hate having cold feet but also on a long flight sitting in shoes for hours is uncomfortable.

TheBirdintheCave · 15/03/2026 08:44

If I were a first class passenger on a ling haul flight and sleep was involved I would definitely change into pyjamas. But a three hour flight to Italy or something? No. I would just wear comfortable but smart clothes.

AsparagusSeason · 15/03/2026 08:47

No. It’s far too low rent for me. We saw a woman at Gatwick last month in pyjamas, a dressing gown and slippers. I’m not sure if she was travelling or meeting someone as it was at the terminal entrance. But we judged. 🧐

I flew long haul last week on an overnight flight from a hot country in the back of the plane. I didn't see anyone in pj's but there was someone wearing black leather trousers which blew my mind. They must find them very comfy and not very hot! I like to wear elastic waist jersey long skirts and tshirts when travelling.

Reallyneedsaholiday · 15/03/2026 09:36

Well, “I” wouldn’t, mainly because I don’t possess any, but I wear what I’m comfortable in and it wouldn’t bother me in the slightest, what someone else was wearing.
