Anyone else “awake” here?

Maybe not the place to post but thought it might be interesting to find out if there is an awake component to MN.

I’m not here for judgement or criticism, just want to find more of my own.

There’s no way to know if your own research is any more valid than someone else’s. Which is mainly my point.

there literally is.

That is spooky. My cat is also asleep on my arm so I can’t move Do you think that might be a conspiracy? 😳😂

Absolutely. They are in charge.

I can assure you nothing about me is unemployed, sitting at home, googling and wasting my time.
I’m looking for answers why my vaccinated friends have turbo cancers, their kids have autism, chronic fatigue, etc.
I could be TOTALLY wrong and that’s fine. Just asking. And I know lots of medically qualified people also asking those questions too, they have lost their careers for daring to ask and they are not crazy or stupid.

So how am I autistic when my anti vaxxer parents didn't vaccinate me then? Go on, have a bash.

Lonelycrab · 07/03/2026 00:52

charlatanne · 07/03/2026 00:44

That’s what you believe. But I suspect it’s due to other factors - possibly vaccines and nutritional impacts. I’m not saying I know. Just let’s open the discussion about it.

Scientists, experts, have been doing this for decades now. What exactly do you think you can bring to the table besides tin foil hattery?

Frequency · 07/03/2026 00:52

Let's pretend for a second that robustly reviewed medical studies don't exist.

Why would "they" lie to us about vaccines? Would "they" not prefer us to be employable, socially active, healthy, tax-paying citizens?

Even if you do ignore the science, the theory still makes no sense.

I agree. There’s no way to know if your own research is any more valid than someone else’s. Which is mainly my point.

Not done much research then?

There’s a thing called “the scientific method”, and it involves controlled and repeatable testing that’s statistically validated.

I’m guessing that your “research” didn’t take this form so no, it isn’t “equally valid”.

Do enlighten us though. What did you “research” and how? What were your “discoveries”?

I suspect that - unlike all the scientists whom you disparage - mysteriously you will be reluctant to share your source of superior/ new “knowledge”. One can’t possibly think why.

charlatanne · 07/03/2026 00:53

@CrazyGoatLady I have a friend whose child has never been vaccinated yet whose child had been diagnosed with autism. I have no idea. And I have no claim to having any answers. Just asking. I’m not superior to anyone else.

OP is just rage baiting. I’d ignore him.

ShetlandishMum · 07/03/2026 00:55

Studies in populations with lower vaccine coverage such as Amish communities have not shown lower rates of autism compared to the general population.

  • but you do you.
blacksax · 07/03/2026 00:56

charlatanne · 07/03/2026 00:38

Do you check the vaccination status of everyone you know?

Do you?

I can help you with that. Most people are vaccinated. So most people with cancer will have been vaccinated.

Imagine a population of 100, in which 90 people were vaccinated, and 10 weren’t. Then imagine that there is a cancer that affects 10% of people. That means that 9 of the vaccinated people will have cancer, but only 1 of the unvaccinated people have cancer. That doesn’t mean that vaccination causes cancer. It means that the vaccinated sample is larger than the unvaccinated sample, so the number of cancer sufferers will be larger.

You need to look at percentages rather than absolute numbers.

Ok then. If you want to shut down the debate. I think poor diet, reliance on pharmaceuticals, lack of exercise and social interaction, personally.

If you don’t think you’re superior, why do you describe yourself as “awake”, implying that the rest of us are asleep?

Sad times when you have to explain basic maths about fractions/ percentages that most YR2 children could grasp to adults, huh?

But we know that all of these things lead to poorer health outcomes. None of that is new.

There is no link between any of those things and autism, however.

SpringIsSprung1 · 07/03/2026 01:01

The op deserves a fair hearing. We just need to know about what exactly.

charlatanne · 07/03/2026 01:01

@BerryTwisterit’s just a known term to describe people who are questioning such things. No superiority intended.

Right, so you don't think you're superior but think you're "awake", so others who don't believe what you believe are therefore "asleep"?

Not sure how exactly that doesn't convey a sense of superiority?

The effects of none of which could possibly meet the diagnostic criteria for autism because the diagnostic criteria include demonstrating that the condition has been present since birth. Autism by definition is not something that people develop during life and any such condition caused by environmental factors is by definition precluded from being diagnosed as autism. HTH.

Yeah well, I've been vaccinated and I suffer from ingrowing toenails. All of the people I know with ingrowing toenails were vaccinated too.

OMG.

So why is autism so prevalent then? Don’t you think it’s worth questioning? I don’t mean high functioning autism, btw. People can be described as autistic and function perfectly welll as they always have.

One assumes concerns over feline safety and the necessity to realign our faces so that they are on the right way up.

I’m even questioning the authenticity of this thread! If it’s real though then yes. Yes I do.

Wouldn’t say I am awake though and I think both ‘sides’ are mistaken. I think it’s equally silly to believe everything or even most things the news or governments tell you and to mock dissenting views as it also is to believe some random youtube videos and some of the theories are outlandish.

The thing is I’ll not find the truth on some matters. It would take so much time I don’t have, and is probably hidden.

One thing I do find really strange is how so many people blindly believe what governments and mainstream media are saying in our time…. when you look back in history it’s littered with governments lying to the people one example is the syphillis experiments or mk ultra I think it was called. Also stuff which was accepted like burning witches. But we are supposed to securely believe they are truthful in all matters now!
