DH has always said (and I agree) that if Sandy Hook didn't change USA minds about guns then nothing would. I fear the same will happen with these revelations - thoughts and prayers but no one (Republicans) taking a stand.

@Lalgarh I read the entire article with increasing disbelief. On the one hand one could argue that they are reaping the consequences of their voting choice. But I am also mindful that they are uneducated and so easily exploited by Trump's rhetoric and swayed by their hope that their situation will improve under him. Unfortunately, their worsening situation after the Big Beautiful Bill, proves that it was false hope. The Trump administration is callous and cruel.

This morning I listened to the Civil War episode of The Rest is History podcast. Much of what was said is relevant to understanding why people voted for Trump, and still support him.
