And then at some point she'll have to answer to an even Higher Authority.

At least some of us believe she will. I know I'll have to stand there too. But when God is done with me I'm going to ask him "Can I just stand over here for Leavitt, Trump, and all those guys? I'm sure their answers are going to be a real hoot!"

But the Barbie Goebbels wears a cross most of the time and never shuts up about her faith.

I am atheist myself, with an interest is US evangelicals. I follow the stuff about the drive to teach young earth creationism in public schools and all that.

When I see clips of Barbie Goebbels, I note if she has her cross on display or not. Anecdotally, she does appear to be displaying it less often, but I suspect that might be because it's winter, and she wears those thick jumpers ?

I find this Iran thing confusing.

Iran and US to begin high-stakes talks amid fears of conflict | World News | Sky News

There was a deal, and Trump left it

A few weeks ago he told the protestors to take over Government buildings, said help was on it's way. He never sent help.

And now he is in talks with the regime, to get back to the 2015 deal (effectively), that he himself scrapped.

I predict in the next few days he will claim a deal, declare how fantastic the Iranian Government are, and invite them to the Whitehouse.

Iran and US to begin high-stakes talks amid fears of conflict

The US and Iran have threatened one another with strikes over recent weeks - and expectations of a breakthrough during Friday's discussions are low.

Jesus himself said ," Not all those who cry Lord,Lord shall enter the kingdom of heaven . Only those who do the will of my father in heaven shall enter".
She is deluded and as a christian myself I am so grieved to see these people claiming they are following Christian values.
But then Trump at the National Prayer Breakfast fiasco the other day ( what an abomination that was. ) let slip
that he hasn't actually even read the bible! And neither have most of his so called Christian supporters either i expect.

Serpentstooth · 07/02/2026 07:34

It's not a deal unless Trump has Made the Deal. Even if it takes everything back to where it was before, it's a new win for him. 🏆

Agreed. I despise how they’ve hijacked the cross. But then the KKK did…

I agree absolutely. As a Christian myself, I really despair at the way right wing Evangelical Christians have been taken in by Trump.

If we are going to have third terms, the US could do a lot worse than Clinton³

They could do a lot better too. Let's go for his wife who didn't get her intern to suck her off.

I can't decide whether Ringo is a real person or just someone who likes to rile people up. I'm having to sit on my hands so I don't get drawn into responding.

I'll take either Clinton, and wanted the immensely capable Hillary to win. I volunteer to hold the fork toasting Comey in his final place.

They are a debunk rubber ball. Debunk their claim, and a few pages later they bounce back with the same claim

The claim was made that rent was coming down because of deportations. I "researched" it. Fake. Rents are mostly coming down because it was a Biden policy. He encouraged building to get rents down. And tail end of his term, more newbuilds came on the market than any time since the 80's.

It was a Biden promise to get rents down. He delivered. But cos it takes time to build, the effects had a lag into Trump time.

Debunk rubber ball- I like that. I'm having to sit on my hands a lot at the moment.

I've just had a look at one of the Epstein threads on here and want to bang my head on my laptop.

The very real abuses, atrocities and political implications are going to end up getting overlooked in favour of a social media-induced moral panic, aren't they? Get the mums riled up with a reprise of pizzagate, wayfair, John Podesta eats babies again and it's easier to keep them onside.

I certainly have my irrational with Keir Starmer, but if he's the only person to end up going down over this, the world is a ridiculous place.

It's also because he/Mandleson/Prince Andrew are all British though. There is a lot of anger in the British public, British MPs, British media. But realistically there isn't much they can do about Americans involved.
There's a lot of anger around ordinary people in America as well I'm sure. But unfortunately because of who was elected President it's going to be hard to effect much change..whilst in the UK it's going to be difficult but not impossible. I agree it would be hugely unfair if Starmer were made a scape goat. But I would like to see Farage suffer for his constant adulation of the worst men possible and his accepting of money from men deeply implicated in the Epstein scandal.
Farage's character flaws are basically the same as Mandlesons IMO. So if Mandleson is so toxic that even those in his orbit are tainted what does that say about Farage (and the people in his party company who unlike Labour backbenchers seem to be closing ranks)

PerkingFaintly · 07/02/2026 12:08

That article by Marina Hyde pertinently highlights Bannon's part in Epstein's machinations. Or one might say, Epstein's part in Bannon's machinations.

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2026/feb/06/jeffrey-epstein-scandal-politics-mass-abuse-women-girls
There really is no bad vibe/criminal abuse operation that a properly enterprising scumbag can’t just buy up and take ownership of, and then flip into the appearance of do-gooding. There is an incredible clip of Epstein being interviewed in some wood-panelled, gentleman’s club-style room, shot in either late 2018 or early 2019. “I made my living from old thinking,” Epstein reflects expansively in it. “But the future is for the way women think.” We pan out to see that the interviewer is his buddy Steve Bannon. “Is that a sop because of all the depravity you’ve done against young women?” asks Bannon. “Your new sop is that women’s thinking is the future?” “No,” smirks Epstein. “… I’m a firm believer and supporter of Time’s Up.”

I'm vividly reminded of an interview with Bannon during the emergence of Time's Up and MeToo, saying approx: "Look at all that anger from women. How can we use that?"

So the Epstein scandal is about politics? Silly me for thinking it’s about the mass abuse of women and girls | Marina Hyde

Obsessing over individual players and political chaos leaves less time to focus on the misogyny. And that’s for the best, isn’t it guys, says Guardian columnist Marina Hyde

Thanks for the link @CaveMum
It's a great article, however:
"Peter Mandelson, the one guy in this we at least know wasn’t making sexually abusive use of Epstein’s trafficked women and girls."
Do we really believe that part of the allure for mandelson wasn't that Epstein also catered to his particular proclivities?
All that stuff about the wonderful secrets etc,
