Do you mean at the end of his term of office, or because you think he will die before then, or be declared medically unfit to serve any longer? Three years is a very long time. It's only been a year since he was inaugurated, although it feels much longer to me. Let's not forget too that if he steps down or dies or is forced out we have President Vance to look forward to. And all of this is ignoring the persistent rumours that he hopes to ignore the rule requiring him to step down at the end of his second term.

The whole world is starting to cotton on to the fact that this man is considerably more dangerous to world peace than anyone else.

He claimed to have stopped one between Albania and Azerbaijan, which was a surprise to both countries, as they're no where near each other and don't have any real interactions.

He has tried to stop the Russia-Ukraine war, by giving Ukraine to Putin, but the ungrateful Ukrainians don't see the value of peace.

I think he's counting wrestling matches between Eric and Don Jr. that have got out of control

Apparently he brokered an economic agreement between Serbia and Kosovo in 2020 and there's a photo to prove it. That's one of the wars... (though they weren't at war, and the agreement solved nothing and the bickering is ongoing).

I thought this letter was a hoax. Unbelievable that it is real. Trump is deluded. And horribly ignorant.

I genuinely believe he could start a war... He is living in his own reality. And he has no understanding or empathy for others... no diplomacy, no tact. And yet he is the President of America. How on earth can they not stop him?! There are around 340 million Americans - I can't believe that they have much appetite for 'taking' Greenland.

FYI he claimed to have stopped a war between Armenia and Azerbaijan, not Albania.

I would love it if they replied in a way clearly stating this is not how things work and they're not going to discuss anything in such puerile terms. Doubt they'd dare to, though. Unfortunately this is where Trump's incidental modus operandi of being totally childish and unpredictable makes him potentially dangerous.

The whole Greenland thing is unreal. He said it was because he doesn't want Russia too close and yet there is only about 55 miles between the two mainlands, plus there is already an agreement allowing the US to put as many bases/troops on Greenland as they want, so what it is about if not security ?

They already did last time he ranted about the prize. They responded politely that it had nothing to do with the Norwegian Government. But is usual, he ignored it and ranted again.

What I want to know is why more Americans are not out on the streets demanding an end to this. And yes, I know that there have been protests, but I would expect this level of dysfunction - and this level of blatant unsuitability for public office - to have triggered a massive uprising by now. Where is the opposition?

We all knew that Trump was going to be a disaster. What I find incomprehensible is how little pushback there seems to be. Are people too fearful to fight back? Are they resigned to their fates? Heads buried in the sand?

Yup. And Greenland is nowhere near Russia. I also have no idea how China will manage to get an invasion fleet there undetected. It might be spotted in the Suez or Panama Canals.
