Trump’s text message to the Norwegian PM

“Dear Jonas: Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America."

This is why he’s justified in taking Greenland - apparently. How is this giant man-child in charge of the free world?

Whether Armenia or Albania, who knew they had a war?!
The reason nobody will go after Trump, specially his own party, is because he takes petty revenge by name- calling and insults, and major revenge by suing for millions of dollars.Whole thing, totally dysfunctional.
I am glad at this moment not to be American, though I fear for family and friends who are....

esem · 26/01/2026 01:11

OMG its terrifying isnt it. I cant believe we have a delusional idiot in the white house
Hes a danger to the rest of mankind and hopefully he can be stopped {one way or another} before he does more damage by his vengeful childish antics
How he got there who knows - ask Russia maybe!!

Watch the videos of the people of Greenland before insulting Trump. He could save the whole world and you still flag him off. The people of Iran are very happy with him as well.

Did I miss something? Did he actually send help to protestors in Iran?

Nonsensical response..you can’t deny what I’ve written

Can't deny that you've written it, it's there for all to see. Just because you wrote it, doesn't make it actually true.

You've been asked multiple times already where you get your news sources and I'm genuinely curious. It would certainly help me to understand where your viewpoint comes from because at the moment I honestly cannot comprehend how anyone can look at what is going on and think this is good. Particularly around RFK.

The videos of the Greenland people protesting against his threats to invade?

No the ones saying they were grateful just like the Venezuelans. But of course you won’t believe that. I have family in Venezuela, they are still partying.

Skibbgirl · 26/01/2026 11:04

The man is an unmitigated self-serving, egotistical, misogynistic, ignorant, grasping, power-hungry, control freak of a bully. The USA is turning into the laughing stock of the World (IMHO) and it will take a very long time before people begin to feel safe there again, or in the rest of the World with Trump (or his cronies) at the helm in the USA. I have a lot of family there who are desperate for him (& the rest of his entourage) to be removed from power; they can see the damage the Republicans are doing and are very well aware that the economic effects will be felt for a considerable time to come.

It’s not Putin per se, it’s that the people currently in control of the US are of the same mindset about how the world should be run, so obviously use the same playbook.

What gets me is that so many US citizens from Hispanic communities voted for Trump. Of all people, surely someone whose family moved to the US from Latin America should understand only too well the harms that can be caused by dictatorial psychopaths being in charge of countries, as Latin America has had more than its fair share of them. Why on earth move to the US and then vote for the same shit there? Yes, of course mad dictators get things done, but it does not take a genius to understand they do not do what is good for the people, they only do what they think is good for them. Trump never even tried to hide his dictatorial ambitions.

You are getting something wrong about hispanics. In 1870 the US invaded half of Mexico, that´s where you get so many Spanish geographical names from. Millions of hispanics became Americans eventually, they didn´t come "from" anywhere. Also newcomers from Latin America are not popular with them and they are at pains to distance themselves from them. So very little solidarity on that point.

They are still of the mindset that "my enemy´s enemy is my friend". Poor things. They have another think coming.

How did the Dems not manage to defeat him? He's utterly insane. What did they do, or not do, that stopped people from voting when the alternative is this deranged orange loon?

Racists won’t vote for a brown woman. Simple.

Ahh yes. Is this the China that defeated TACO Trump at tariffs. Defeated him on high tech chips. And the same China that is in the process of mopping up nations Trump has turned the US against.

Do you mean that China, the PRC? Or do you mean the other China, the ROC, who are now wondering if Trump might actually help the PRC invade them?

Trump is pretty crap on the PRC. The CPC are running rings around him.

Perhaps you could share them so we can see. Trusted fact checked sources preferably as I don't do random x links.

I'd like to see these.

Stopped China from what? On the whole, mainland China simply ignores Trump, though I suspect they get the gigglies every time he makes a speech.

I got the impression from reporting in the UK that it was a significantly larger proportion of Americans who are specifically identified as being of Latino origin who voted for Trump at the last election than just those whose family have been American since the 1870s. I understand that those of Hispanic/Latino heritage are a very disparate group, but reporting indicated that the Latino vote swinging towards Trump this time was an important factor in his ultimate victory.

What do you think Greenland would be grateful to the US for?

Free healthcare
Free basic dental care
Subsidised childcare
Free university
Elder care
Zero school shootings

Oh wait…. that’s what they’d be losing…

Or do you think they just fancy being terrorised by their own government in Call of Duty and Nazi cosplay?

Seriously. You’re going to need to try harder.

FYI he claimed to have stopped a war between Armenia and Azerbaijan, not Albania.

Even more bizarrely he said he'd stopped the war between Armenia and Cambodia, obviously a long-range conflict that nobody else was aware of.

Yes, but what's your golf handicap? Because playing golf badly is what he does most of.

I can sort-of see how he mistyped "coffee" to come up with covefe, but predictive text in my experience rushes ahead of you and gives you the word it thinks you mean. "rhibk" is not a word, or at least not in English it's not, so why would predictive text predict it?

I can only comment by the actions of people I saw interviewed. Trump made a ridiculous offer and ended up getting what he really wanted with no cost.

The cost was demonstrating that America is no longer a reliable ally and that he probably has dementia.

But can you explain what he got?

He got what America already had!
