What did you eat today?
I love reading what people have (and getting new ideas/recipes).
My new year new habit is to have a side of veg with each meal (and eat it first).

Breakfast - Sourdough toast with soft cheese & bagel seasoning, side of cucumber/tomatoes,

Snack - Crisps

Lunch - Stovies with beetroot (traditional in my part of Scotland)

Snack - Christmas choc (trying to get through this)

Teatime snack - Bowl of homemade lentil & veg soup, a couple of crackers

Dinner - I am going to a pub quiz so will have a wee something to eat from their bar bites menu!

I’ve got this fluey virus so all I’ve had is a couple of slices of cold turkey and 2 or 3 pigs in blankets. I cooked a turkey crown etc yesterday that we were supposed to have as a second Christmas dinner, but i wasn’t up to doing all the veggies.

And I’ve had copious cups of spiced ginger tea.

Breakfast: Toast and peanut butter, tea, coffee

Nakd bar and half a mocha coffee

Lunch: Leek and potato soup with bread, cheese, and some of DD’s leftover toastie.

Satsuma
Slice of leftover supermarket pizza from fridge (did not eat the crust)

Dinner: Beef casserole with mash and broad beans.
Chocolate.

It’s loads written down but I’m EBF, ravenous, and still slowly and steadily losing weight.

Allbymyself123 · 02/01/2026 21:10

Routine still all over the place here!

x2 coffees (costa pods so small ones) & an m&s fruit bun
a kinder buno
a caramel latte from an actual costa
x4 craxkers & primula
bowl of homemade veg soup, bread roll & 3 mini cheese & onion rolls.
pot of tiramisu

still using up last of the Christmas food! Going to do a shop tomorrow though (and get the tree down and cleaned and organised so on Sunday a chilled day before schools go back) i’ll get plenty of fruit, fresh veg and salad and make some
”proper” dinners over the next few nights & i’ll do a big shop on Tuesday or Wednesday and try to get back to normal.

Aintgointogoa · 02/01/2026 21:14

Previously started a thread because I wondered if it was just me that found it doesn’t work, unfortunately I was utterly utterly ripped to shreds. I was made to feel like shit.

Been on it since August, 7.5mgs now.
Genuinely, if I go above 1000 cals the weight rapidly piles on. All blood tests normal.
Im peri menopausal which has COMPLETELY changed every single physical aspect of my being. Startling and scary.

Im keeping going with such hope though! The nausea reminds me very much of morning sickness, it’s one on its own. Very distinct.

@Thesofathatwas , I’m sorry you didn’t find help on your thread. 😔
What is a normal day of eating for you?
I combined my Mounjaro journey with ditching sugar completely and cutting down massively on my fruit consumption. I also don’t eat until lunch time, all in an effort to try and be more insulin sensitive. I’m convinced that being insulin resistant made a considerable contribution to my weight gain and also to how difficult I had found it to lose the weight. Are you taking HRT?
Are you stressed, sleeping well? So many things can interfere with our ability to lose weight. The Glucose Goddess is worth taking a look at, Ultra processed people and The Obesity Code are very good reads. I’ve found great information in the Zoe podcasts.
To be honest there were days (3 per week )during my weight loss stage where I had very low calories but intermittent fasting was part of my strategy and I ate much more on the other 4 days. You could try calories cycling, I found it was helpful to be able to look forward to those days where I could have more.
There were times I felt despondent, didn’t lose, put on! My weight loss was slow compared to many but I’ve now lost 80Lbs and am trying to maintain. Wishing you success.

S - a giant marshmallow, some blueberries and 2 cream crackers and a babybel

This sounds a brilliant day.

I hope to keep it up. I only really had Christmas Day filling my face 🤣. We have a big holiday coming up in April to Thailand and I’ve got the final 9 pounds to lose so I feel good in a bikini.

ElizabethVonArnim · 02/01/2026 23:16

Two pieces of toast with peanut butter
a piece of Christmas cake
a very weird sandwich made of stuffed peppadew peppers
soup of many wilted vegetables
five macarons
a pot of mango that went out of date before Christmas

half a cucumber

Can you tell that we’re ’tidying up’?
