What did you eat today?
I love reading what people have (and getting new ideas/recipes).
My new year new habit is to have a side of veg with each meal (and eat it first).

Breakfast - Sourdough toast with soft cheese & bagel seasoning, side of cucumber/tomatoes,

Snack - Crisps

Lunch - Stovies with beetroot (traditional in my part of Scotland)

Snack - Christmas choc (trying to get through this)

Teatime snack - Bowl of homemade lentil & veg soup, a couple of crackers

Dinner - I am going to a pub quiz so will have a wee something to eat from their bar bites menu!

14 Penguin Biscuits.

I’m not proud of it, but that’s what happened and there’s no point lying about it.

DarkEyedSailor · 02/01/2026 18:09

Muesli
Ham, cold roast potatoes and parsnips heated up with gravy, Stollen
Dinner- fish and chips, oven style, and trifle. There's a lot of festive stuff still knocking about.

Breakfast - 2 cups of coffee and a few after eight mints (this is not my typical breakfast 😂)

Lunch - dd and I went out for Japanese, so agedashi tofu, mixed tempura and some sushi

Snack - some Indian sweets

Dinner - lunch was pretty sizeable so it will probably just be New Year’s Day leftovers, cheese and crackers or a bit of cauliflower cheese, or we are watching a film later so may just have some popcorn.

Absolutely love your honesty and have been there myself (though I'd have crisps rather than biscuits).

Thesofathatwas · 02/01/2026 18:19

1 slice of seeded whole wheat toast (dry) 2 boiled eggs and one small vine tomato. 1.30
2 slices fruity toast, scrape of butter. 6pm
2 litres of water. 1 multivitamin.

Feel so nauseous and extremely resentful that even with that coming to under 500 cals, I will still either gain weight or stay the same.
Obesity is shit.

Pure shite as I went back to work today after Christmas so I’m depressed and my Tesco delivery isn’t due until tomorrow so we have bugger all in the house.

No breakfast, a sainsburys meal deal for lunch (chicken salad sandwich, salt and vinegar crisps, coke and a bueno) and tea tonight is freezer tapas - breaded chicken, fries and onion rings.

I also drank many, many cups of tea and had a glass of ginger ale about 20 minutes ago. Really need to get onto the water.

Tomorrow will be better!

tarheelbaby · 02/01/2026 18:22

brunch - omelette brisé with spinach - sounds fancy but wilt the spinach in butter, then add a beaten, seasoned egg - + 1 slice of toast with butter

dinner -
crémant de Loire + cashews
frozen pizza - chicken florentine + extra shredded mozzarella and artichoke hearts
4 chicken dippers w/ketchup

BritishDesiGirl · 02/01/2026 18:22

I'm pregnant, 25 weeks and naseau has come back so just ate what l could manage without gagging. Somd cherries and salt and vinegar crisps.

Whatisgoingoff2024 · 02/01/2026 18:23

1 weetabix, 1 cheese scone and half a packet of supernoodles. I’m 9 weeks pregnant and food aversions have been wild this time around. I’ve completely gone off meat and anything that requires cooking. The nausea is next level.

Im usually a foodie and love reading these type of posts… so I can only hope it passes in the next few weeks!

LadyGaGasPokerFace · 02/01/2026 18:26

I woke up late today, but had homemade sausage rolls. They have onion chutney in them, they are delicious. We’ve been out with the dog in the cold and back, it’ll be burgers and homemade chips fir dinner tonight.

IndigoIsMyFavouriteColour · 02/01/2026 18:26

4 Oreo’s and two cups of coffee

MrsJLevinson · 02/01/2026 18:26

Recovering from festive lurgy so my appetite isn’t back fully.

B - A cup of tea and a honey and hot water (to soothe dreaded cough)

L - 2 egg custard tarts…….

D - Meatballs with gravy and onions cooked in the slow cooker, to be served with mash.

Brilliant 😂

Ive had breakfast: 2 cups of tea
lunch: spiced parsnip soup with brown roll and a scone with jam n cream at a national trust cafe - both delicious. 2 coffees.
dinner: out for dinner to a local steakhouse restaurant where il have my usual bbq smoked half chicken with spicy chips and salad and quite a few cocktails as they do delicious ones. May share a dessert if there’s room.

Nomnomnomnomnom.

I made these sausage rolls over Christmas and the chutney really elevates them!

Breakfast = Don't eat it.

Lunch = A sausage roll and a satsuma.

Dinner = Chicken tikka masala and a keema naan.

goudacheese · 02/01/2026 18:28

Breakfast - porridge with banana and cinnamon.
Lunch out - carrot and lentil soup with a brown roll
Dinner - Roast chicken pasta in tomato and mascapone sauce.
Snack - muller rice

IfyouStealMySunshine · 02/01/2026 18:28

choc hazelnut crepe for breakfast

southern fried chicken and bacon wrap for lunch

just had a packet of crisps before going the gym and having a cheeseboard later.

I like my vague attempt at improved eating at less chocolate, no alcohol and more water but not an awful lot of fruit and veg there as yet.

Dollyfloss · 02/01/2026 18:29

Ooh - just remembered I also bought a “pickle power” cheese truckle and some “hot honey” chutney at the National trust place so will probably come home half cut and have a nibble on that with leftover crackers knowing me!

@Thesofathatwas , have you been to your GP and had tests to rule out some medical reason why you’re not losing weight?
You’re not eating enough and not fuelling your metabolism. You must know you can’t carry on eating like this? Mounjaro doesn’t work for everyone, have you tried Wegovy? How long have you been using the medication and what dose are you on? You really need to be communicating with your supplier.
I have found people are very helpful on the weight loss chats here, why not start a thread and see if you can get some advice. I hope things work out for you. 💐

InLoveWithAI · 02/01/2026 18:32

Nothing so far, still not at my best after new year 👀😂

About to go make jacket spud with cheese.

Have drank a lot of water though.
