What did you eat today?
I love reading what people have (and getting new ideas/recipes).
My new year new habit is to have a side of veg with each meal (and eat it first).

Breakfast - Sourdough toast with soft cheese & bagel seasoning, side of cucumber/tomatoes,

Snack - Crisps

Lunch - Stovies with beetroot (traditional in my part of Scotland)

Snack - Christmas choc (trying to get through this)

Teatime snack - Bowl of homemade lentil & veg soup, a couple of crackers

Dinner - I am going to a pub quiz so will have a wee something to eat from their bar bites menu!

I eat every two hours, like a newborn 😆

Today has been/will be:

B: Boiled egg and a slice of chicken breast

S1: Strawberry greek yoghurt and some cucumber sticks

L: Tuna steak, broccoli, and carrots

S2: Sliced chicken breast and cherry tomatoes

Pre-run: Rice cake with honey

Post-run: Protein shake

D: Salmon and roast veg

(Another post has reminded me to also add the sixty million cups of Earl Grey, a can of 7-Up Zero and a can of Coke Zero. And yes, I know, it's terribly unhealthy!)

Yesterday

B - 36g of Special K, handful of blueberries and skimmed milk

L - Pack of 3 Go Ahead biscuits and bag of salt and vinegar Snack a Jacks

D - 2 boiled eggs with 2 slices of seeded bread toast. A low fat strawberry yoghurt

E - Go ahead apple bar. Glass of whisky (it was a trying day)

Drinks were the whisky, 2 cups of green tea, 2 cups of Yorkshire tea with sweetener, 2 cups of coffee.

Dinner: Spaghetti with homemade meatballs and tomato sauce with a bit of grated Parmesan on top
Drinks: Seven cups of tea, a can of Diet Cherry Coke

Vanilla & oat milk protein shake, mashed avocado on sourdough toast - after gym

Cottage cheese with blueberries, honey, chia seeds

Spag bol with grated cheese, broccoli on side

2 squares dark orange chocolate

B: Porridge with a teaspoon of honey

S1: Slice of chicken breast, cucumber slices, mini sweet chilli rice cakes

L: Chicken and sweet potato curry with tenderstem broccoli

S2: Rolled up sliced ham spread with wholegrain mustard

D: Lychee pork with sour cherry sauce and veg

Post-gym: protein shake

Usual gallons of Earl Grey tea, plus a can each of 7-Up Zero and Coke Zero

3 scrambled eggs, 2 normal coffees then a decaf coffee. Handful of blueberries
A tuna mayo sandwich on white bread (I added chopped shallots / gherkin / chilli and yellow pepper, coriander and mustard to the tuna mayo)
A hot cross bun with butter
Chicken pesto pasta with broccoli, half an apple
A brioche bun
Water

Will have a cocoa later

l- chicken salad sandwich from waitrose

d- jacket potato with bean chilli in Wetherspoons as my daughter had a rehearsal until 8 so I grabbed something with a friend

snacks- 2 x jammy dodger, a banana and a bag of mini eggs

D- 1/2 a vegetable pizza from Morrisons pizza counter

Snacks- some quavers at dance show (random but they had them and I fancied them!), a big bowl of melon and grapes and a slice of kinder cookie pie that I made

Blood orange chia seed pudding with homemade granola

Dinner will be broccoli and tahini soup
And I’m looking forward to a bowl of baklava and vanilla ice cream later…

D- peppered steak linguine, my all time favourite meal, followed by mini egg ice cream

Snacks- we had our second ballet show of the weekend so shared a kitkat with my husband whilst waiting for our daughter. Also had a banana, some fresh coconut and a bag of mini eggs my daughter bought me

B mini doughnut, strawberry yoghurt, melon, bowl of porridge with brown sugar and sultanas

S salted crisps

L rye bread, chicken kofta, red cabbage, pickles, tomato, chicken and mushroom. small rum truffle

D pasta, tomato, bacon, mushroom, olives.

back from holiday now and trying to be good :)

A slice of fruit-bread with butter
Piece of leftover shepherds pie
Dinner will be some concoction of chicken mince / fried rice with spices and onions.
Always have a cup of unsweetened cocoa made with milk at night
