What did you eat today?
I love reading what people have (and getting new ideas/recipes).
My new year new habit is to have a side of veg with each meal (and eat it first).

Breakfast - Sourdough toast with soft cheese & bagel seasoning, side of cucumber/tomatoes,

Snack - Crisps

Lunch - Stovies with beetroot (traditional in my part of Scotland)

Snack - Christmas choc (trying to get through this)

Teatime snack - Bowl of homemade lentil & veg soup, a couple of crackers

Dinner - I am going to a pub quiz so will have a wee something to eat from their bar bites menu!

A delicious blood orange
Two fried eggs on sourdough
A chocolate muffin (shared with little one) and a vanilla latte
The remnants of broccoli cheese pasta and pea and sweetcorn fritters (also shared with little one)
Some salt and vinegar hula hoops
Roast chicken with broccoli, carrots, parsnips and potatoes

A more normal day today!

B- property made with almond milk and berries

L- Costa ham and cheese toastie (my daughter is obsessed) and we shared a banana and chocolate muffin

D- teriyaki broccoli burger (new in Aldi) in a wholemeal roll and some salad

Snacks- mini egg ice cream, a bowl of greek yogurt, berries and mini weetabix

At least 1 litre of 7up zero & approx 37 cups of tea

Lunch: Two matje fillets on buttered rye bread, some grapes
Snack: A 100g Cadbury’s fruit and nut bar
Dinner: Polpette in tomato and chilli sauce with a slice of bread, Calabrese pizza
Drinks: Six cups of tea, two negronis, a large glass of red wine

Today:

Lunch - Merchant Gourmet black dhal, an apple
Snacks - Tunnocks Caramel wafer; grapes
Dinner - Chicken and ham gratin, carrots, sprouts and sweetcorn
Drinks - Eight cups of tea; two cans Diet Cherry Coke, a glass of water

L- chicken tikka sandwich and some salted crisps

D- chicken in tomato and basil sauce, roasted baby potatoes and broccoli

Snacks- satsuma and grapes, biscoff ice cream bar, bran flakes with Greek yoghurt, banana and peanut butter

Started the morning with a bacon sandwich and a mug of tea, which honestly does the job every time. For lunch I grabbed a sausage roll and a packet of crisps from a little bakery near work, nothing fancy but proper comforting. Dinner was fish and chips from the local chippy – loads of salt and vinegar, of course – and I ended up finishing it off with a sticky toffee pudding later in the evening. Probably not the healthiest day of eating, but very British and very satisfying.

D- fish pie with cauliflower on the side (daughters request as daddy is away and daddy hates fish!)

Snacks- mini egg cake bar, apple melon and grapes, I have a bag of mini eggs for when my daughter is in bed!

Dinner - a chicken balti pie and chips at the football
Drinks - Six cups of tea, a pint of lager, a horrid watery hot chocolate (also at the football; it was freezing at half time and I needed warming up)
