All very sad especially at Christmas.

His A levels are a great achievement considering VB has herself said ‘Dyslexia doesn’t run in my family, it gallops’.

Im.not knocking it good for him.

IAmKerplunk · 23/12/2025 23:12

Yes! Change your names and see how many brands want to work with you - would be quite interesting!

It wouldn’t be at all interesting. They wouldn’t even exist as a topic on MN and we’d all be away doing something else instead.

Still Alevels are hard even with excellent schooling and tuition if he has the ability to pass them surely he must realise he can't just walk into any career just because he takes a fancy to it ?

I mean NP is rich rich - there’s a global gang of rich rich. She needs the glamour and celebrity of the Beckham name, cos without that she’s just another heiress.
and poor old Brooklyn hitched his wagon to her way too young to ‘be independent’. In my opinion - that lad will be back home in the UK with mum and dad in the next 5 years. Heiresses like that, if you move in the ‘international elite’ circles are ten a penny (I don’t but have pals who do)

Daygloboo · 24/12/2025 01:59

Bedhead1234 · 23/12/2025 00:08

Yup. Brooklyn seems kindhearted but... the others just seem so painfully gormless while taking themselves too seriously.

It's quite sad.

The younger ones occasionally re create old photoshoots their dad did - lacking the looks or charm. I think this really speaks to how insular and self congratulating their world must be if when this will occasionally get picked up by a news outlet if a slow news day or to pad out a PR piece there mum has paid for, they believe this is some sort of achievement.

My only intrest in them is to be baffled by how unintresting they are and how badly they must have been parented.

Brooklyn used to have a chest tattoo dedicated to his mum who apparently used him as an emotional crutch during db's many many affairs.
This feels like enmeshement and 'brand beckham' like away for vb to keep control of her family / marriage/ David.
I think him distancing himself is probably good for him.
Vb seems to have an unhealthy obsession with np as she looks like a younger hotter version. All the stories in the tabloids are planted by her trying sway public opinion. Fairly controlling.

She should be happy for her son not acting like the ultimate ' boy mom ' and sabotaging his relationship.
I think it's also quite telling that the lesser Beckham brothers are dating women 10years older than them, who they look ridiculous next to and are obviously only interested In their parents money and that's celebrated by their mum.

There are lots of funny ' blind items' about them calling the paparazzi on themselves.

How do you know DB has had many affairs ? I thought it was just that one woman ( Spanish ? Forget her name )

Ivyy · 24/12/2025 02:08

Did DB admit to the affair with RL then? I thought they always denied it, or was there proof?

Daygloboo · 24/12/2025 02:17

x2boys · 23/12/2025 14:04

I think Victoria is bright,
Whilst she was in the spice Girls, she didn't do much if any of the signing, she was in there purely becsuse of the posh spice persona
David was a hugely talented footballer
But without Victoria marketing them as Brand Beckham I think he would have either now living a very comfortable life in relative obscurity
Or he might have gone the Gary Linekar, and Gary Neville and be a sports commentator..

Edited

I think it's a myth all footballers are thick. I knew a footballer guy who was superbright. Tbh if your body is that fast and well coordinated, your brain is too. Their coordination of thought is going to be very efficient. What they might be is uninterested in learning stuff, but thats to do with education, nor intelligence. Theres also a lot of prejudice. Many ppl cant handle those who are good at sport so they need to have a go, so it takes thevform of " they're thick"...because someone being both physically able and intelligent is just too much for a lot of people to bear. It's the same kind of thing as calling working class people thick. It's just not true but it suits some people's agendas.

Merlinis · 24/12/2025 02:23

Nobody really cares ….half the stories about this are probably just clickbait

Ozgirl76 · 24/12/2025 04:31

the thing is, most children are actually fairly similar to their parents in terms of abilities. Not always of course but if you have two parents who value academics, your normal life will be galleries, exhibitions, museums, chat at dinner about world events, books, theatre etc. Not in a snobby way, just that’s your life.

If your life is business and sport, that’s your life - so sports events, galas, shopping, talk at dinner about those things. And I think in general at quite hard to move between those worlds without quite a lot of effort.

Even going to a great school can’t infuse all the other things. So if in the school holidays the Beckhams are going along to sports events, talking about sport, fashion etc, then that’s understandably what they’re likely to take an interest in.

Plus if you’re so rich that you never need to worry about money, and you’re not particularly academic, it would be hard to insist on chemistry homework being completed when you know full well your kids are not likely to be a scientist.

Ozgirl76 · 24/12/2025 04:34

I also dislike the whole “thick footballer” trope. No one would say “I mean Andrew Motion is a bloody good poet but he’s really shit at basketball”

Are there any billionaires kids who have grown up relatively normal? Trying to think of some (without googling) Richard Branson? Alan Sugar? Bill Gates? What do their kids do? I could be completely wrong and their offspring could all be nepo babies but some wealthy famous people must get it right?

I fully admit I don’t really follow sleb life too much so might be way off the mark here, but Bruce Springsteens kids are a horse rider/jumper, a fireman and…something else, not sure what.

Geri Halliwell’s oldest daughter got very good A levels in the past year or two and is now (I think) at uni.

And Gary Barlow’s kids - is one a physio???

Ulrika Johnson’s daughter is a Norland nanny.

So some kids have obviously been brought up to see ‘normal’ jobs as a great way to go about life.

Although to be fair they might not be included in the billionaire category?

Her beauty line is doing very well I think. She claims to sell an eyeliner every 30-40 seconds.

It seems popular! But not enough to prop up the literal millions her clothing line is loosing.

NP’s sister was a prof figure skater & started a clothing brand. Her brother a Yale graduate & ex prof ice hockey player with a health start up & other sibs seem productive & tight.

BB was only 23 I think when he got married, it’s very young.

He'll come back to them once his wife files for divorce from him.

This. So many men give up their families for their controlling wives … just like Harry and Meghan. Then come back when their wives get bored and leave them.

You’re right but why BB? He seems nice enough but naive, young for age & sensitive, some of the dropping out of Parsons was apparently as he felt homesick. It’s tough to make USA Uni work - if UK - unless pretty robust with links to States.

If NP married him for needed publicity in part her pool might have been smaller -international elite & billionaire kids often learn to be pretty low profile & fairly private in their 20s plus. If she was calculated why not someone older, a famous actor or a record producer, someone in showbiz?

BB might find it very difficult to cut ties with the Peltz fam even if he wanted to.

These are all really good points. Values etc are caught not taught & intelligence/application fairly hereditary.

If NP is controlling & calculated why give BB up? He seems to worship her & be anxious to please. It does seem unusual they’ve not had kids yet, her siblings & sister did soon after marriage & has a children’s clothing line.

Because often these women do get bored and move on. I had a friend whose son was very like BB. After ge and his wife broke up, he apologised to his mum for how he had treated her throughout his marriage.

If it’s not ‘love’ BB is a pawn & serves a purpose. If she’s as difficult as the rumour mill suggests she might not find it that easy to replace him.

And no doubt you would love that 🙄
The royal family isn't at all toxic is it?

The royal family are no different to most families in terms of differing personalities, good and not so good. And of course we can’t always believe what is written in the papers.

A pretty girl with a billionaire dad?

I think she'll manage 😂

BettysRoasties · 24/12/2025 16:09

I think it’s likely a very reap what you sow and likely the other children will follow once they have married and settled down. Experience in other families.

Those children were all shoved into the press as part of the brand. They were used to make money for the brand. Stories sold for the brand.

Lets face it even VB liking his Instagram post knowing his gone NC is to get engagement. It makes a story and gets them in the papers, it also crosses a line when you know that person doesn’t want to interact with you.
Other family members being blocked would on here be called flying monkeys.

VB and DB really are very normal people intellectually. But smart in the well this sells so let’s sell it but that means they sold their souls and their children’s.

Oh course DB was sleeping around his never actually denied it has he and his never take legal action which he could very much afford. Too many stories of too many women for them to all be fake.

Is NP a problem? Maybe but most people had never heard of her despite the billionaire family and few acting roles. Seems she may of had a slightly more normal life in the sense of being kept out of the press because her parents didn’t need to sell her to make money.

As GR families and even JO family have been used in comparison both have kept their children more private and they have more normal lives and jobs.

None of the older Beckhams seem to of actually found their thing just jumping from one thing to the next.
