All very sad especially at Christmas.

I think it's sad. Don't know much about the Beckhams but from what I have seen, they love their children and have always seemed close with them. Whatever the reason, I can imagine it's very painful for all of them including Brooklyn.

The projected public image may not be the same behind closed doors.

This may be the result of Victoria and David ensuring his childhood was completely in the public eye.

Letting a private family argument play out on social media is tacky as. And both sides are as bad as each other from what I can see.

People don't cut their parents and family off for no reason. As someone who has gone NC Christmas is the hardest time of year.

Yup. Brooklyn seems kindhearted but... the others just seem so painfully gormless while taking themselves too seriously.

The younger ones occasionally re create old photoshoots their dad did - lacking the looks or charm. I think this really speaks to how insular and self congratulating their world must be if when this will occasionally get picked up by a news outlet if a slow news day or to pad out a PR piece there mum has paid for, they believe this is some sort of achievement.

My only intrest in them is to be baffled by how unintresting they are and how badly they must have been parented.

Brooklyn used to have a chest tattoo dedicated to his mum who apparently used him as an emotional crutch during db's many many affairs.
This feels like enmeshement and 'brand beckham' like away for vb to keep control of her family / marriage/ David.
I think him distancing himself is probably good for him.
Vb seems to have an unhealthy obsession with np as she looks like a younger hotter version. All the stories in the tabloids are planted by her trying sway public opinion. Fairly controlling.

She should be happy for her son not acting like the ultimate ' boy mom ' and sabotaging his relationship.
I think it's also quite telling that the lesser Beckham brothers are dating women 10years older than them, who they look ridiculous next to and are obviously only interested In their parents money and that's celebrated by their mum.

There are lots of funny ' blind items' about them calling the paparazzi on themselves.

Just feels like emeshment and terrible parenting

They need proper jobs. They must have received a good education, so they'd be well advised to find proper occupations for themselves otherwise they'll never grow up. I think it's a shame when rich people's offspring don't make their own way and just mess about trying to be mini mees of their parents. Getting some distance might be a good thing.

I think the redoing wedding vows, in secret, excluding his siblings, parents and grandparents and then posting on SM was vicious and designed to flick the Vs. I struggle to see how / why her parents were complicit in this. But we know they are nasty people from the lawsuits from the wedding planners.

Have the party, renew the vows - but posting on SM just shows their vindictiveness.

I have no time for DB - he is a dismissive, arrogant, philandering wanker and I think VB has been depleted and diminished by staying with him trying to fake their delusional marriage which everyone can see through.

I wonder if it’s about money. BB has effectively worked for free to line their pockets since he was in the womb. Maybe hes fed up with the charade.

But NP-B has a very long rep as being a very nasty piece of work. Totally spoilt, talentless and sulky - same as BB’s Mum.

My hunch is they are going to announce a pregnancy and want to exclude his family so have blocked them on SM from even congratulating them.

They are all a shower of nasties - DB and NP at the head with the Co-dep VB and BB flapping around to keep the mirage alive.

Agree. I’ve never understood why (some) nepo children do things like this. Probably some deep rooted need to prove themselves as worthy as their parents or something.

If it were me, if I was a Beckham kid with all that opportunity and financial backing, but no talent, I’d open a cafe or a restaurant or something in a nice seaside town, hire great staff to help run it, have some kids, and live a peaceful life with some purpose, maybe fundraising for charity or something.

He comes from such a privileged position but just seems to angst ridden and desperate to be famous (the cooking, the photography etc). I think in this day and age they find it very hard to accept that being famous isn’t a given.

What a great idea & ofc it would likely bring happiness & fulfilment to what seems like a nice lad. Worshipping at the altar of looks & money feels like a cautionary 21st century tale played out on the world stage.

The House of Beckham is an interesting read. It portrays both V and D as money obsessed, they quickly realised that they were worth more together than apart and ruthlessly protect brand Beckham. This includes portraying themselves as a tight family unit and sadly have exploited their children to pursue this. Maybe Brooklyn has merely had enough?

They always look like a strange couple. He looks “worried” and possessive when they are together. I think she is alienating his from his family. He will come crawling back one day soon!

They may well be worth more together, but even separately they have more money than they could ever possibly spend. Why the need for more?

Greed is powerful. Some people will just never have enough.

Yes they are definitely greedy and will always want more. Sadly they have fucked up kids in the process. They’ve had the best education I should imagine but what are the 3 young men actually doing with their lives other than trading on their name and chasing fame without having any talent. I hope Harper chooses better.

Power is very addictive & can be intoxicating.

But almost everybody in the world loving their children. It’s the minimum base line of parenting. How is loving your children notable in any way?

Saw the art exhibition re. Rocco Ritchie - he seemed genuinely talented, personable & grounded. Part of issue is Beckham kids have no stand out talents & were apparently raised to believe they were special.

I do wonder why Brooklyn didn’t make more of a go of photography. His ‘book’ was ill advised & unfortunate but why did he leave Parsons? Did he graduate? If he qualified for it he must have fairly decent qualifications.

I sawca clip of him making a sausage ,bacon and egg sandwich on a American breakfast ,show ,they raved on about it like he was some Michelin starred chef 🙄

Yes exactly the Beckham, s have made their children look quite ridiculous insisting they are the next big thing in photography, football, model etc.

Yes I saw rocco on instagram, his art is of a professional standard and he seems very well grounded and has a good sense of self, recognising the unique position he is in.

I've always got the impression that Romeo is Goldenballs' golden child, for following him into football and modelling and for being super-confident in the way middle children (pre-Harper) often are. David is openly super-affectionate with Romeo whereas Brooklyn always looked like he was squirming next to his dad in Beckham family line-up photos.

I also suspect Brooklyn's childhood was less than idyllic. He was five when the Rebecca Loos affair allegedly happened – it can't have been an easy atmosphere for a child to be in for however many years it took his parents to get past it. Not to mention growing up around a mum with an eating disorder – that alone might cause anxiety in a child – and being ridiculed every time he tries to find his path in life.

Maybe his wife and her family gives him a sense of calm he's been missing for a very long time.
